My husband and I booked this tour group for our layover in Egypt. We had messaged with them a few days prior and they responded to us. Everything looked like it would go well and we were excited! However, they never showed up. We called and messaged them and heard nothing. We waited almost forty minutes then had to go with a local taxi, which was a little sketchy and we ended up spending three times as much as expected. They have still not responded to our messages about the no show. There should be a common courtesy of apologizing for the situation, but nothing. This situation made our layover in Egypt very stressful and we lost out on our experience.
We sincerely apologize for this experience. A no-show with no communication is completely unacceptable and does not reflect our standards. We are truly sorry for the stress caused during your layover, especially after your prior communication with our team. This is not the level of service we aim to provide. Please be assured that we are urgently investigating what went wrong with your booking and why there was no response at the time. Kindly contact us directly with your reservation details so we can arrange a full refund and review any additional costs you incurred due to this situation. Once again, we deeply apologize and appreciate your patience while we work to make this right.
This was an excellent service. I had a knowledgeable Egyptian tour guide, who took me to the Giza Pyramids, for lunch and to the Egyptian museum, as well as took me to a Papyrus shop and Perfurme shop where I had the option to buy extra souvenirs. After this point, the tour guide left after around 6 hours later. I had already spoken with the organisers to see if I could extend my tour with an additional activity, and added on the river nile boat and dinner cruise in the evening. I had a driver, who made me feel very safe, especially as a solo female traveller, and he stayed with me for the duration of the stay, from picking me up at the airport to dropping me back off at the airport in time for my evening flight. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who would like to feel safe and comfortable as well as to be able to see as many sights as possible in 1 day layover.

We looked for ages to find a trip from the airport that gave enough time at the museum and pyramids but did not include unnecessary visits to places we had no intention of spending money in and this trip fitted the bill. Ahmed Gaber was our guide and he made contact the day before to arrange our meeting at the airport. We were collected on time and Ahmed introduced us to our driver George. On the way to the museum Ahmed filled our heads with history. The museum was amazing, again Ahmed showed us everything and explained it's significance in detail. If your guide is well I formed, as ours was you will need to allow 3 hours at least. George then took us to our restaurant for lunch, simple but very tasty and several choices of meat. The venue is in sight of the pyramids. Next, off to the pyramids, wow. I was worried about being hassled here but it honestly wasn't too bad. Not sure if this was because we had Ahmed with us or not. Again, Ahmed was very informative and really happy to take pictures. We walked around the perimeter then George took us to the viewing point. Here we declined the camel ride but that was our choice. George the drove us to the Sphinx, beautiful and unhurried. Plenty of pictures and memories again. We can't say enough how much we enjoyed the day. George was a very funny man, great with his driving and use of horn. Ahmed really knowledgeable and a great communicator. We were back in plenty of tome for our flight. I would highly recommend this trip. 10 hours give the time for flexibility and an exceptional experience. Just be careful - the Grand Egyptian Museum is opening soon which will house most of the exhibits from the Museum of Antiquities. Make sure you are booking a trip for the right museum especially if you specifically want to see the Tutankhamen exhibits.

Ahmed Elsayed was an exceptionally talented tour guide! He expertly shared his cultural knowledge of all the historic places we visited and gave us fantastic tips on where we could get souvenirs for our friends back home. We were also accompanied by a friendly driver who stored our luggage safely as we entered museums, pyramids, and local businesses. One of my favorite moments in our layover trip was getting to ride on the friendly camels against the beautiful landscape of Egypt.

Go Discovery Travel was exceedingly professional and absolutely fun. The best part was that I was able to incorporate my own interests during the tour and not have to stick to a strict schedule. They were ready at the airport as promised, got me to the Pyramids and Sphinx in record time, treated me to amazing Egyptian food, and even helped memorialize my grandmother by getting me a ship to the Nile. All in all it was an excellent introduction to the city of Cairo and I would definitely recommend them. I look forward to booking with them again upon my return to Egypt. ASK FOR AHMED!!! He’s Great!
