It was very fun. Nice way to spend an evening. Good mix of informative and whimsical.
Valencia is a vibrant city full of history, culture and food. Our guide Cormac was full of energy and ready with interesting facts and anecdotes about the history of Valencia and the people who shaped the architecture and vibes. We had about 1.5/2 hours exploring the old town before we settled into a quiete and shady courtyard at a local restaurant. We then drank local Cava and various wines with an assortment of small snacks and tapas all fresh and tasty. I wish i would have eaten less because afterwards we all were led inside to a large table in a more formal setting to continue to eat a real meal with more gorgeous wines. Honestly I was so full. In hindsight I also wish I would have purchased a couple of bottles to bring back. We left happy and very satisfied. Took our guides advice and some of us went out to enjoy another of Valencia's special drinks together. It was an amazing experience lots of fun learning, eating and enjoying conversations with our fellow tour members. I will definitely do this again with visitors to Valencia id just skip eating a sandwich at the Mercado next time! One hundred percent a great way to spend time in Valencia.
Our tour guide Paula was amazing. She was very knowledgeable about Spanish history and gave us a great overview of the Old Town, Valencian food, culture and traditions.. I did the 7pm tour which was perfect timing with the temperatures starting to drop a bit as we walked around. The evening dinner was in a beautiful historic setting with a lovely small group. We had interesting conversations and got to learn a bit about each other. All the courses were delicious and the wine pairings were perfect and well paced. I would highly recommend this experience when you visit Valencia, preferably do in the early part of your trip
