Paella Cooking Class, Wine Tasting & Central Market in Valencia

Description
Valencia is the birthplace of the world-famous paella - from the market to your plate, learn step-by-step how to make this traditional dish! First, your local guide will take you to visit Mercado Central de Valencia - Europe's largest food market. Here, you'll buy your fresh ingredients. For evening tours and tours on Sunday, the Central Market is closed so we will skip this step and go straight to the cooking! You’ll then go to the paella kitchen for a live paella workshop with a professional chef. Follow along step-by-step at your own cooking station and learn the local tips and tricks of what makes this dish so special. After the class, sit back and enjoy some local tapas, wine and, of course, your very own paella. Your paella cooking class Valencia finishes with a sweet treat before returning to the meeting point accompanied by the guide.

Absolutely fantastic!! Highlight of our trip! Victor was AMAZING! Very organized, personable and knowledgeable! Market was closed so Victor gave a short tour of the area recommending many eateries! I’d do this one again! Fun! fun! Fun! We had a great group of people from around the world and after cooking, we ate our paella family style. And by the way, our paella was delicious! Thanks Victor and staff(who served wine and tapas throughout)! Well done!
We had a great time! Victor and Comrac were wonderful hosts and made us all feel welcome - and the paella and wine tasted amazing 🤩
This was an amazing experience! It was informative, well organized and most of all - fun! Being from the US it was great to meet people from other countries. Our chef was passionate about teaching us the proper way to cook paella.
I spent two weeks in Valencia and this Paella cooking class was one of the highlights of my stay. It was really fun going through the Central Market and buying ingredients and our chef also explained to us many details of Old Town as we were walking to the cooking class. Our check / instructor Reyes was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about everything Valencia (great check and great guide). The cooking class was amazing: great facility, easy instructions, fabulous wines. We started off with a glass of Cava and while we were cooking the wine kept flowing. There were three small parties in the class each cooking a different Paella so we got to taste the difference which was a bonus. I highly recommend this experience.
A fantastic experience photo of history tradition, and of course, the best chef in Valencia and maybe all of Spain! The service was impeccable and you can tell that both our chef and the bartender love what they do. The paella was wonderful - the experience unforgettable!!!
What an experience. This is must do in Valencia. Got more out of this than expected. A nice tour of central Valencia, the market, learning more about the history of the city from a true local. He was kind and happy to answer any and all questions about the city or whatever else. We had a member who was running late and he was totally okay with accommodating so they would come later. You can follow Daniel as he collects the ingredients for the paellas or explore the market yourself - def recommend trying out what’s at the market, 2-3 euros can get you a spoon of uni or fresh oyster. We eventually made our way to the kitchen, where we were met by Amber, who gave us back to back glasses of wine and snacks throughout the paella making experience. The making paella experience itself was so fun. All the ingredients are pretty much prepped. Just need to put them together. You learn step by step what to do and see your creation come to life. You get three options: seafood, chicken/rabbit, and vegetarian. If you have multiple paellas, recommend getting different ones for variety! Total experience took 3.5-4 hours, which was good amount of time. Must do in Valencia!!!
So so so amazing! By far the best thing we did all holiday. Megan was so much fun and knew so much about Valencia and paella. There were amazing snacks and drinks when we arrived back from the market before we cracked on with cooking one of 3 paellas. Highly highly recommend!
Juan and Luna gave us an excellent evening - we were guided on how to cook traditional Valencian paella (very tasty!), as well as taught about the history of paella. Excellent wine accompaniment throughout. Highly recommend if you like cooking and fun
This cooking class was so fun and entertaining! 10/10 would recommend. It started with a walking tour to the market, the guide/chef Reyes was so knowledgeable about the city. After the market, we were receiving by Cormac who had drinks ready for us and made the best hors d'oeuvres! Be ready to leave a little tipsy!
Juan and Amber are wonderful hosts! This is an interactive, hands on cooking class. Beautifully pared wines with so much food between the main course of Paella! Juan is a knowledgeable and well spoken instructor who leaves you feeling confident to go home and cook for yourself. I highly recommend.
