15 min

A center of town in Roman times, where you'll get an introduction to the tour and the city

10 min

The most iconic monument in town, dating from the beginning of the 9th century.

Admission included20 min

The most important church in Zadar, with its bell tower providing a breathtaking view

10 min

The main street in the Old Town

10 min

A local green market - glimpse into everyday local life in the heart of the Old Town

20 min

Everything that has ever mattered in Zadar, since the Medieval period, happened or was heard of at the People's Square. It is the centre of urban life, a source that sucks you in with its energy and beauty, and then entrusts the passers-by to some other urban sensations.

10 min

While this 17th-century baroque church is pretty enough, it's what lies inside that makes it truly noteworthy. Taking pride of place above the main altar, the sarcophagus of St Simeon is a masterpiece of medieval goldsmithery.

10 min

Zadar is a proud owner of a unique blend of architecture and music, the world-famous Sea Organ, which is located right next to another modern installation, the Greeting to the Sun. The sounds that the Sea Organ produces are a result of the release of sea energy, or rather waves and tides.

10 min

Together with the wave energy that makes the Sea Organ’s sound, it produces a trippy light show from sunset to sunrise that’s meant to simulate the solar system. It also collects enough energy to power the entire harbour-front lighting system.

Memorable tour with Andrea

Wow! We really enjoyed our tour with Andrea. He was super knowledgeable and gave us such a great overview of the fascinating history of Zadar. This is truly such a unique city with sites like the Forum, Venetian walls and even remnants from Mussolini and even more recent Yugoslavia. This was one of the best tours we took in Croatia!

Great Tour with Tonka!

My husband and I were the only two that signed up for our tour. Our guide, Tonka, was absolutely incredible! She shared her knowledge of Zadar with us and made the tour that much more enjoyable. The tastings along the way were delicious and something to look forward to. I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you again, Tonka!

Engaging, informative, highly recommended

Iva for president! Our city tour through Zadar could not have gone better. Thank you Iva, you were great! Since no other city tour guests had signed up, my friend and I were lucky to experience a private tour with you. Your warm, open, yet pleasantly unobtrusive manner and your humor felt as if I were out with a friend. You know a lot about the history of Zadar and presented it in a way that was very informative and understandable, even for my somewhat rusty English skills, without overwhelming me. We also had the opportunity to express our wishes and interests regarding the city tour. Anytime again! Beautiful excursion destination.

30th anniversary day in Zadar with Andrija

What a lovely 2 hours with Andrija! He walked us around the city and gave us the historical facts plus added in personal stories from his family-oh what a lovely time! We had cheese and brandy and he told us of the restaurant we are going to for our 30th anniversary!! The ice cream recommendation was great also! Thank you Andrija for a memorable day in beautiful Zadar!

Our Zadar Tour with Tonka – Stories, History and Local Flavor

We really enjoyed this tour in Zadar! Our guide Tonka was lively, curious, and knew how to explain history in a way that kept us interested. It covered not only communism and World War II, but also the Italian, Austro-Hungarian, Turkish, German and French occupations, the Yugoslav Kingdom, Communist Yugoslavia and Tito. We walked through important places in the city, asked all our questions, and finished with a taste of a national drink. A great mix of history, stories and atmosphere!
