Itinerary
The town of Windsor is best known for its historical links to the British royal family, and it is suitably steeped in pageantry and history. Towering over the rest of the town is Windsor Castle, the ancestral home of the English and later British monarchy, and largest inhabited castle in the world. It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years and is today one of the official residences of His Majesty The King. Occupying over 10.5 hectares, the Castle offers a varied day out for visitors, including a visit to the magnificent State Apartments and St George's Chapel. The Castle's State Apartments are furnished with some of the finest works from the Royal Collection, reflecting the changing tastes of the Castle's royal occupants, particularly those of Charles II and George IV. Many of the works of art are still in the historic settings for which they were first collected or commissioned by the kings and queens who have lived at Windsor.
Step back 5,000 years in time to prehistoric Britain as our guide helps bring the history of this fascinating monument to life. Who built Stonehenge? Why was it built? Discover the answer to these questions and the monument’s fascinating link to the Summer and Winter solstice. Come face-to-face with a 5,500-year-old man and visit the world-class exhibition centre, with 250 ancient objects on display.
The Bodleian Library is the main research library of the University of Oxford, and is one of the oldest libraries in Europe. With over 12 million items, it is the second-largest library in Britain after the British Library.
Christ Church is a constituent college of the University of Oxford in England. Christ Church is a joint foundation of the college and the Cathedral of the Oxford diocese, which serves as the college chapel and whose dean is ex officio the college head.
'The City of Dreaming Spires' is known for its distinctive architecture and holds the unique accolade of having examples of every architectural period going as far back as Saxon times. Wander its quaint cobbled streets on a walking tour of the city with our expert tour guide, who will bring the history and charm of this ancient city to life.

Oxford was a short walk to see some of the university it was just ok. Then off to Windsor castle. The castle was great but not enough time to see the entire castle. Then off to Stonehenge. Very interesting. Our tour guide was good maybe a little to much information. The big problem was to go to all three places takes a lot of drive time and the bus driver can only be on the job for a certain amount of time so we we were not dropped off back at Victory coach station which was a problem for people. This is unacceptable this needs to be part of the booking so people can plan. I am sure this happens quite often. Seeing all three places was cool but doesn’t seem to be enough time to see all three with four to five hours of driving.
Very interesting visit and the guide (Scheila) was very friendly, available, and knowledgeable. We were sorry to have had little time for Windsor Castle
Cordiali saluti, Evan Evans

I booked this tour on a Thursday specifically to see the Changing of the Guard at Windsor Castle, but the guide changed the itinerary and took us to Stonehenge first, so we missed it completely. We then had only about 45 minutes at Windsor Castle, which was barely enough time to visit St. George’s Chapel. There was no opportunity to properly explore the castle, making the admission ticket poor value for money. The tour was advertised as English-speaking, but it turned out to be bilingual (English/French), with a large part of the commentary given in French. I also booked this tour because it was supposed to return to Victoria Station, close to our accommodation. Instead, we were dropped off at Gloucester Road Station, much farther away. To make matters worse, the guide went around the bus collecting tips and implied that a minimum £5 tip per person for the driver was expected. Overall, the entire day felt rushed, and we even returned to London about an hour earlier than scheduled. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the itinerary or expectations advertised when booking.
Too much time on the bus, little time for the key destinations. Oxford was a rush to see things from the outside. Expensive for the experience. I do not recommend it if you want to enjoy more calmly and beyond just taking photos.
