Wild Whale Watching Experience - Open Air Vessel
Description
We are Granville Island's pioneer (original) whale watching company. We offer intimate tours guided by marine naturalists who are passionate about wildlife and conservation. We do not attempt to influence the behaviours of the wildlife we encounter. Instead, we are able to observe animals behaving naturally and in their natural environment. The animals are never asked to perform. We contribute the data we collect toward marine based research and conservation initiatives. We are accredited as an authorized whale watching vessel and can legally approach wildlife closer than other vessels can, while still maintaining a respectful and safe distance.

Just a great experience. Out of everyone’s control was the weather and the whales. Fortunately the weather was perfect and the whales were out and about. Adding to the great day was our guide Julia was informative and clearly has a passion for what she does. If you have Julia as your guide (and Darko as your Captain), you are in for a treat! Saw humpbacks, a killer whale and even went to the sea lion colony. Just a great time - one that I’ll never forget.

An amazing experience. Mel our guide was incredible, knowledgeable about all things whales and respectful of marine conservation. We saw humpback whales and lots of them. On the way back we saw a pod of orcas. I never felt we were rushed or on a time limit, we said we were heading back three time but never quite made it as they stopped for more whale watching each time. Sara the captain of the vessel rode the waves brilliantly. Very bumpy outbound, we got soaked !! A brilliant must do experience. Thank you for this emotional experience. Darren & Nik. Xxx

An amazing trip with wild whales! Very organised right from the booking process to finishing the tour. The guide was super knowledgeable & we managed to see humpback whales & orcas! Perfect trip!

Absolutely incredible experience today! Jasmine and Darko were fantastic crew onboard and we saw orca, sealions and best of all 3 humpback whales really close to the boat!
Thank you so much for leaving a review, We are so happy you enjoyed your trip with us. We do always strive to keep a minimum distance of 100m from humpbacks and 200m from killer whales, but sometime they want to come and have a look at us!
On our tour, we saw both orcas and humpback whales.

Great experience! The staff was knowledgeable and easy to work with. They made the operation very fun and easy. We got to see plenty of humpback whales in about 4 total hours. Would highly recommend!
