Whitewater Rafting Small Boat Adventure Snake River Jackson Hole

Description
This is the "High Adventure" option for those who want the wettest, wildest ride in Jackson Hole. Lewis & Clark (est. 1971) runs the absolute smallest guided rafts on the Snake River. More importantly, we are the only outfitter offering a pure "paddle-only" experience. We stripped away the heavy oar-frames found on other tours to give you a lighter, faster, and more responsive boat. In our 14-foot rafts, you sit right on the waterline. Every wave looks bigger and hits harder. It is an aggressive, team-focused run where you provide the horsepower to smash through legendary rapids like Big Kahuna and Lunch Counter. With a maximum of 8 guests, there is nowhere to hide from the splash. This is the closest you can get to the whitewater without actually swimming. The trip covers 8 miles of Class II and III whitewater featuring rapids such as "Lunch Counter" and "Big Kahuna." Round-trip time is approximately 3.5 hours. For an exclusive experience, call our office to book a private boat.

- WHAT TO WEAR: You will get soaked! Quick-drying synthetics are essential (swimsuits, rash guards, polyester). Absolutely no cotton, denim, or hoodies—when wet, they make you cold and heavy. Wetsuits and booties are available for rent at our office (highly recommended for cooler days).
- WEATHER POLICY: We raft rain or shine! In the small boat, you are going to get wet regardless of the weather. We provide free splash gear at the launch to help cut the wind/water, but come prepared for the elements.

Big waves! Lots of fun and felt very safe, the guide was great. Meeting spot was convenient. We would do it again!
We had a blast!!! Do the purple boats if you can!! They are so fast about getting you around and on your way!!
Fantastic and such a fun experience! Our guide Ben was amazing!!! Great learning opportunity to experience some class 3 rapids.
Booked the small boat adventure for our group of 6 (2 adults, 4 teens 18, 17, 17, 17). What a blast! Would do it again for sure. Friendly, easy check in. Perfect communication before hand with emails, etc. Easy to rent appropriate shoes. No need for wet suits the day we went. Bus driver Boobo, and guide Riley were wonderful and made the trip so enjoyable. Great safety talk in the boat. Everyone felt comfortable. We hit some nice rapids, got wet on a nice warm day. Overall amazing experience and great pictures. Highly recommend!! Don’t wait.
I had hit a few rapids in Colorado, but this was my first Wyoming white water adventure, and it was a blast! I was one of eight on the raft, and our guide Luke was amazing! The guy seemed to live and breathe rafting. We hit class one, two, and three rapids that seemed to lift us right out of the river! And what a river! The Snake River is awesome! Even if the thrill of shooting the rapids wasn’t enough, the scenery was unbelievable! Although I was drenched in river water, I got the opportunity to take a dip in the Snake! One note though, the rafting company is particular about what you wear. Although they have wet suits to rent, I decide to shell out a few bucks for one of their hooded shirts. After all, I may want to do this again someday.
Thanks for the review! Luke does a great job, and synthetic clothing is definitely worth it. We're so glad you enjoyed it!
Such a fun and exciting experience. We were a little nervous to begin but everyone made us feel comfortable. Danny was amazing. He made us feel very safe. We got to see river otters, a bald eagle, and an osprey. Highly recommend!!
