Important Information

- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- Bring a change of dry clothes, a towel, and a sweatshirt on the bus with you. It will be waiting for you at the end of your trip.
- Conditions can be variable; you may experience a cold day on the river. (Not to worry, it will still be a lot of fun. You just have to dress appropriately!)
- Please wear shoes that can get wet that will not fall off your feet. An old pair of running shoes or water shoes would be your best option. You must wear footwear in the raft, so we do have booties available for rent if you do not have footwear. Sizes run 2 – 15 and can be rented upon arrival for $5.00 per pair.
- Please wear synthetic clothing if possible and bring layers. Synthetics are best for the river because they dry faster than cotton. A bathing suit underneath shorts and a t-shirt is fine for a nice, warm, summer day.
- Splash gear is complimentary. On a cold day, you’ll want a bathing suit to wear under the wet suit.
- Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat are highly recommended.
- We have wet suits & wet suit jackets available for rent. Wet suits are $10.00 to rent. Wet suit jackets are $5.00 to rent.
- Please note kids must weigh at least 50 pounds or more to go rafting!

Our guide, Kam, was awesome! The river offered a mix of calm and rapids. Our kids are 20, 17, and 15, they are all athletes and if anything they wished for more rapids and excitement. But it was great!

We had an awesome time rafting for the first time and our guide Kolten was the absolute best!! Highly recommend doing the small boat if you have teenagers.

We had a great trip with the Mad River Team. Everyone was very nice, efficient and accommodating. The weather and all the beauty on and along the Snake River definitely helped. I would highly recommend Mad River for the small boat, class 2 & 3 rapid tour.
Second time rafting the Snake River with Mad River. Great experience from check-in, bus ride with Nicole and the ride itself. Jeff, our guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the sights along the river. Highly recommend!
Excellent experience all around. Easy to book. Lovely bus driver (Sue) who pointed out wildlife. Bobby is a really fun and skilled raft guide. We saw deer and an eagle. I would definitely go again with this outfit.
