Whale & Dolphin Watching in Madeira

Description
During your visit to Madeira, it is almost mandatory to take a sea tour to observe cetaceans. Its excellent location allows you to see these species throughout the year. Take a close look at some of the 28 species of cetaceans that inhabit or visit the waters of the Madeira Archipelago. On our boat trips, it is very common to find: The Common Dolphin (Delphinus delphis) The Painted Dolphin (Stenella frontalis) The Bottlenose Dolphin (Tursiops truincatu) The Sperm Whale (Physeter macrocephalus) The Pilot Whale (Globicephala macrorhynchus) Bryde's Whale (Balaenoptera edeni). In the turtle family, the Boba Turtle (Caretta caretta) is the most sighted. Come and observe these friendly cetaceans and make your trip a truly unforgettable experience!

Accommodation, sympathy, quality, many explanations of what we were to see and a final surprise
The guide was knowledgeable and told about the animals in a fun and respectful way. We've seen different species. At the end there was the possibility to swim for a while, we didn't know that so we didn't have any swimwear.
We Booked with the Addition „swim with Delfins“ do not book this is r.a 10€ p.P. more but there is no such as Swimming with animals. Don’t know why they offer it an you pay for something not possible. Anyway, the experience was great!
We had so much fun and were lucky to get to see Pilot Whales (dolphins)! João was such an awesome guide!
Professional tour in a speedboat. Knowledgeable, communicative guide. Unusually respectful interaction with the pilot whales and dolphins. Great importance was placed on not disturbing the animals too much and, above all, not for too long.
An unforgettable boat trip, fantastic views of Madeira and nearby islands. A group of pilot whales with small ones seen and a lost bottlenose dolphin. Boat also went nice and fast a few times. Guide Joã could tell great about the animals and had a lot of respect for them. Would book it so again.
Our guide, João, made it truly unforgettable. Without a doubt, these were some of the best two hours we spent in Madeira—and that's saying a lot, because we've loved every minute of this incredible island. Seeing a pod of dolphins in the wild was such an exciting and emotional experience. Watching them swim alongside the boat in their natural habitat is something we'll never forget. Now we have the perfect excuse to come back to Madeira—we'll be hoping to be lucky enough to spot a sperm whale next time! What impressed us most was how respectful the whole experience was. The crew clearly cares deeply about the animals and follows strict guidelines to minimize disturbance and ensure a sustainable approach to wildlife watching. It never felt like they were chasing the animals—just observing them responsibly. The atmosphere on board was fantastic too: great music, thrilling moments, and a wonderful crew who knew exactly how to make the experience fun without taking the focus away from nature. Everything was incredibly well organized from start to finish. If you're visiting Madeira, don't miss this experience. It's an absolute highlight of the trip
We had a wonderful experience! Maggie and Chico were perfect guide and captain and we got to see all-inclusive: lots of pilot whales, spotted an incredible amount of dolphin, so dynamic and olayful, and flying fish! At the end, a swim in the ocean and a joyful “ride” back tot the harbour. It is definitely worth the price! Lots of respect for the environment and the sea life. It was great! Thank you!
Great experience, lovely crew. So special to see the dolphins and sperm whales.
This trip was one of the highlights of our holiday in Madeira, we would definitely recommend it. Maggie is an excellent guide, full of facts and gave us loads of information throughout the trip and so enthusiastic and friendly. Within minutes we encountered a large group of bottlenose dolphins, we also saw a pod of pilot whales, followed by more dolphins. We were also lucky to spot a loggerhead sea turtle. This was definitely great value for money as we got to see so much in the two hours we were out on the boat. The kids enjoyed the whole experience, great for all ages.
