Livio was very knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about his city of Napoli. The 2 hour tour was informative
Grazie, see you next time!
We did a walking tour of the Centro Storico with Riccardo. His English, his cultural and archaeological knowledge, and his passion and humour, all made for an excellent experience. Highly recommended.
Thank you, much appreciated!
Not to be missed. Old Naples has a lot of history and Enrika explained all this very well. This walking tour is well worth it.
Thanks, see you next time!
We had a fantastic experience on the Old Town Napoli tour led by Enrica. Enrica is truly a spectacular guide—incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about her city. She provided a wealth of fascinating, well-researched facts covering the long history of Naples and the many ancient cultures that have passed through and shaped it. A highlight was her command of the city's religious heart. Enrica offered excellent insight into the significance of Old Town's many cathedrals and churches, weaving together stories of devotion, art, and local faith. Her commentary went far beyond the typical script, making the historical depth of the area easy to grasp and appreciate. If you are looking for a deep, historically rich exploration of Old Town Napoli, Enrica is the guide to choose. Highly recommend!
Thank you so much for this super detailed feedback and for the kind words spent on the guide, it is very important to us. See you next time!
Our tour guide Enerico was amazing. Her knowledge and love for Naples energised us all. We were left with a wide historical, cultural, social, knowledge of the city, also a love and wish to return.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate the kind words you spent on our guide and experience.
Firstly let me just sat I love a walking tours. They are a great way to learn more about a new place through the eyes of a local. Who is generally passionate about their city, culture and lifestyle. They can be like a chapter in a new book, that you open and learn all about the history and you get excited about this new land your suddenly in. However, it always depends on the tourguide and today I felt let down. I am sure you could do this tour with another tourguide and have an incredible time. So why do I feel let down. Yes we went to the places listed, although we did not go to the coffee place listed or get to sample the coffee which again is listed you will have on this walking tour. The only thing mentioned about coffee was "Neapolitans love their coffee". My big problem with todays tour was I felt like I wasn't told the stories about what I was looking at. Take me to a church then talk about the church instead of telling me another story about Diego Maradona. Yes I understand he is like a God to Neapolitans, I respect he came during a bad time and was like a beacon of light. He should be mentioned on the tour, but at every stop? Tell me the history of the church! Three times we stopped to get a story about what we was looking at, and each time these were something in souvenir shops. I mean come on. Tell me about the history. Yes I get the chilli one, but the other two times? Come on? We stopped at the beautiful Girolamini Church and the tour focused on some art done by Banksy. Tell me about the Girolamini Church give me some history. The church is beautiful tell me more about that. I honestly started to switch off and so had the rest of the group. Normally on these tours, people offer tips at the end of clap their host. Everyone just walked away and went their separate ways, which sums up what people thought. Sadly today wasn't the great experience I was expecting. I hope if you do this tour you have a better experience.
First of all, it seems very strange that someone would find the time to write such a long and detailed review during their vacation. In any case, our guide, Livio, is a licensed guide and highly specialized in subjects such as Latin, Greek, and archaeology. He has over 20 years of experience and leads this tour almost every day, with great approval from all our clients. Furthermore, on the day of this tour, several clients stayed well past the end of the tour just to talk with the guide and even left some tips. Are you sure you're referring to our tour? Are you sure you participated in this activity?
Great walking tour. Enrica was very informative with a relaxed style. I would highly recommend this tour
Thanks a lot, see you next time!
Excellent historical tour. Enrika was delightful and engaging. She obviously loves her city and helped us see beyond the graffiti and dirty streets. We could see the amazing special history represented in all of the stones and edifices that was not recognizable to us without her help. Definitely recommend doing this tour as early as possible during your visit in Naples.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience of our tour with our guide, we are glad you enjoyed it.
Our guide, Tony, made this a very worthwhile experience. This tour helped to orient us to the historic center of Naples and included all sorts of local cultural and historic insights that one can't get simply by visiting a city on their own. Tony made Naples come to life.
Thanks, see you next time!
We have taken many guided tours in cities all over Europe and this one was quite possibly the worst one ever. After one hour we turned in our listening devices and looked for something else to do in Naples. Our guide, Olivio, was certainly enthusiastic about his city and a proud Neopolitan, but the rapid fire presentation and the repeated focus on subjects unrelated to the historical aspects of Naples, was too much. I could tell that others in our group were losing interest as well. They were looking at their cell phones instead of listening to the guide. During this trip through Italy, Sicily, and Malta, our ears have become better attuned to the different accents, but his was particularly hard to understand. Maybe less enthusiasm or slower speech would have helped. A waste of money in the end. But we were glad we made the decision to leave the group.
Dear Daniel, we are really sad to receive this review. Livio is an experienced guide, archeologist and professor of Latin and Greek. Instead of enjoying the tour you were so attentive to look at the other guests attention? You should hate this tour so much to leave a so bad review while you are on holiday...we just think that sometimes guests have a truly sad background, and they use the review chance to share all of the sadness they have inside. Thank you to be a so great human being.
