Walking tour of Bucharest
Description
Uncover some of the hidden and less known treasures of Bucharest with your knowledgeable guide. We shall start our tour in the centre of the city. A short walk will bring us to the Ioanid Park, that shows us the unique 19th-20th century architecture of the area. Through the Grădina Icoanei (the Garden of the Icon), we arrive at the Anglican Church, where we shall find out its interesting history. To the Church of the Icon (Biserica Icoanei) with its interesting architecture, we arrive at the house of a painter, who will show us some of his works and his projects of teaching art to children.

If working days for the French Institute, we shall have a look inside, in the very nice Reception Hall, where there are usually exhibitions.
Urbanisation in Bucharest started here at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. Nice houses and interesting histories of theirs we shall hear in this area.
Next to the Ioanid Park we enter another interesting park, but somewhat different.
A lesser known church in Bucharest has an intereting history.
Once the most important church of the area, it brings some nice architecture in the area.
