Continue your journey to Bran and listen the real history and the legends of Count Dracula. See the famous Bran castle, called also called Dracula`s Castle, it is situated not far from Brasov (25 kilometres) at the entrance in the Bran – Rucar passage. The castle got its fame from Dracula`s legend written in 1897 by Bram Stoker and later on made into a film by Francis Ford Coppola.. The first documents about the Bran Castle appeared in 1377. Along the history, the Castle had a strategic mission being the border between Transylvania and Wallachia. First it was under the rule of the King of Hungary Sigismund of Luxemburg, than under the Romanian voievodes Mircea cel Batran and Vlad Tepes and later on it came under the jurisdiction of the City of Brasov. In 1912 it was donated by the municipality of Brasov to the romanian royal family, in order to became their residence.
We will continue towards to Brasov where you will have free time to enjoy the old town . Dating from 1520, the City Council Square has been considered the centre of Brasov for hundreds of years. Merchants and craftmen fairs took place here. They came from Transylvania, Wallachia, and even the Near East andEurope. According to the types of merchandise they traded on the side streets of this Square, the streets were called The Wheat Fair, The Cloth Row, The Butnar Fair, The Linen Fair, The Cotton Row or The Coats Fair. The Square is surrounded by houses built in the Renaissance, Baroque, Provincial and Neo-classic style and they once sheltered small shops and warehouses. The Square is dominated by the magnificent building called the Council Hall. The medieval fortress of Brasov was one of the most secure fortresses inEurope, the architectural defence pile being made of stone walls, 32 defence towers, 8 bulwarks and 4 fortified gates. The towers had both defence and observation roles. During our tour we’ll see the old wall which it is still preserved, Black and White Towers and also the Weaver’s Bastion – the biggest and best preserved bastion. Ecaterina`s Gate situated near the Schei Gate in the western part of the Fortress was built in 1559 in the Renaissance style. It has a sharp tower and four little towers, symbolizing the medieval right of life and death over the vassals lives (the right of the broadsword). The gate also had firing vents, a drawbridge with chains, being one of the most fortified gates of the city. Enjoy some free time to explore the city.
Outside visit of the Black Church from Brasov, the most iconic historical monument from this old Transylvanian town. The largest hall-church east of Vienna and one of the biggest medieval churches from this part of Europe, this impressive Gothic construction is impossible to miss if you’re wandering through the center of Brasov.

An amazing tour and Vlad out guide was knowledgeable and interesting through. Highly recommended.
Do not rely on times given by viator as the start time should have been 7am and ended up being 8.20am, we had to change our booking for an Uber 3 times and also time for breakfast at our hotel. The trip was good but Dracula's castle was disappointing. The town of Brasov was worth a visit and would go there again. Everything else?? For the price we paid not bad
Very interesting trip, Otilia great guide. Peles Castle awesome and Bran very characteristic. Totally advisable! Lovely!
Execellent value for money, the tourguide was excellent. Such interesting tour, and we had guided tour in the beautiful Peles Castle. Brasov a charming city. The couch was very comfy, all in all with an unexpensive price, highly reccomended!
The excursion was very nice. Adrian was very pleasant and helpful and the driver was very good. I wiuld definitely recommend it.
Lots of walking up and down hills. Guide Otilia was very rude. Was like a strict teacher. Driver was also rude. Guide didn’t take time to slow down when walking We lost her at every stop. Also space was saved for 2 people in front of bus. We had to stop and pick them up and they went to first castle. Then we picked them up at last castle and dropped them off before we got to our final destination. I didn’t appreciate extra stops to accommodate these 2 friends of guide. We were stopped by police cause driver was in wrong lane. It was a real disaster trip.
Otilia is very informative and has a strong Romanian personality so only take this tour if you are willing to be respectful and be quiet during her explanations Otilia does guided tour of Pelé castle but not Bran castle… it is restrictive on time , we had no time to shop because we chose to do both castles Very enjoyable /long day and very inexpensive … Also Need to make sure to book the Pèle castle online in advance Wonderful lunch in Braşov
In one day, you have the opportunity to visit 3 wonderful places in Transylvania. The trip lasts 12 hours because you have to consider the wait time going and coming back. Our guide, ELENA, was very skilled and helpful, and we had time to see everything. Of course, in these cases, the punctuality of all participants is important.
The organization of the trip was perfect, but the added value of the entire trip was our guide Elena!!! Thanks to her passion, we appreciated a trip that is worth taking!! She is nice, sociable, and very knowledgeable and professional!!! The castles are very beautiful, and Transylvania is truly unique!! In short, I highly recommend the trip, but with Elena, it is even better!!
Really recommend this tour to everyone visiting Romania. Peles Castle is worth to see and also Brasov city. Moreover Othilia was a great tour guide. She was a very successful tour guide and provided very useful information throughout the tour, both about the itinerary and about Romania.
