Itinerary
We will meet near Eissalon am Schwedenplatz and enter the secret alleyways in the heart of Vienna.
We will pass near the Greek Orthodox church and then enter one of several hidden courtyards that you will get to see during the tour.
We will then reach a legendary place, a house that tells a one of a kind Viennese tale, focused on A mythological creature.
This beautiful church is a true hidden gem in Vienna. We won't elaborate more here as the real secrets will be told during the tour! This is a must see attraction which is almost always missed by visitors and sometimes even by locals.
From the Jesuitenkirche we will continue through the alleyways towards St. Stephen's cathedral. We will not enter the cathedral but pass near it from its back side.
We will continue through the alleyways and reach the house where Mozart once lived and where he wrote his famous masterpiece - the marriage of Figaro.
We will continue from the house of Mozart through the Blutgasse. You will hear the story of this fascinating alleyway!
We will then enter the hidden courtyard of the German order to explore a beautiful side of Vienna often missed by travellers.
We will continue through the alleyways to explore the beautiful area of Ballgasse.
We will head back to Stephansplatz, this time from the front side of the square, after seeing a few more beautiful alleyways. This is where the tour ends.

This is the third tour we have done with the same organization. It is always a very, very big moment. The speaker is inexhaustible. Must recommend absolutely.🤩
We booked two tours in Vienna and they were identical nearly. They took us to the same places and told us the same historical information, exact same style, just with a different person. To be honest we did not enjoy it, we expected to have some fun too.
Unfortunately this is yet another fake review and neither Trip Advisor nor Viator accept our reports and requests to remove it. This "person" has never been to any of our tours. Our tours take place in relatively small groups and are personal and engaging. The tour takes place in locations that tourists normally don't get to and very few tours in Vienna actually cover these unique hidden gems. If during the tour a person indicates that they have done a similar tour, our guide would either try to show some new locations or advise them to leave and receive a full refund. So as you see, it is a fake review. If you are reading this and considering joining our tour, I can only assure you that we will do everything we can to ensure that you enjoy a wonderful experience :)
Our guide cracked some jokes throughout the tour, which was the best part of it. Apart from this it was a really moderate historical walk with very boring tales and useless information.
If you are visiting our page and seeing this review, it seems that we are targeted by someone. We reported it already, as this person hasn't participated in any of our tours. The tour they review took place 3 times in March and received 5 star reviews from all the participants. Our guides are all professional, licensed tour guides, carefully selected to ensure that our guests enjoy a high quality experience. The tour is designed as a narrative and includes spots that visitors don't get to normally. Naturally our guides combine humor, history and actual information in a smooth way and as the groups are small, there's constant interaction with the participants. It is unfortunate that people write fake reviews to harm businesses and we hope it will be removed soon. If it isn't, please have a look at our previous reviews to see what people really thought about it.
I booked this one for my short stay in Vienna, it was okay although we finished later than planned and i went delayed to my next tour.
Hi Rhea, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review :) Our tour lasts normally about 2 hours but in case people are interested or the energy is good our guides sometimes continue a bit longer. Our guides are truly passionate about Vienna and so sometimes they take a bit more than 2 hours. When they do, they usually ask the participants if that's fine and if they have plans afterwards. It seems that the guide didn't ask you or missed your answer somehow, we apologise for that. As the tour takes place at 17:00-19:00, I assume he didn't realize that there's a 2nd tour afterwards. We thank you for letting us know and hope you enjoyed your time in Vienna :)
We just returned from a week in Vienna. We had private tours for 2.5 days with Secret Vienna Tours, including Imperial Vienna, Hidden Alleys, Jewish Vienna, Schonbrunn Palace, and the Belvedere Art Museum. Two different guides, Michael (a retired actor) and C-A (a former marketing executive), both were first-rate. And Sagi, the owner of Secret Tours, was extremely helpful prior to our trip with hotel and restaurant recommendations. I am very happy with our experience and can recommend without reservation working with Secret Vienna Tours.
Great tour - also and especially for visitors calling themselves Vienna connoisseurs. Enormous what is brought to light on this tour of unknowns. Great!
Wolfgang was an amazing guide. He knew lots of interesting facts and made the tour fun and interesting. Not to be missed if you come to Vienna!! Thank you again Wolfgang for making our last afternoon in your beautiful city so special
Thank you very much for your kind review! Wolfgang enjoyed guiding you as well and we hope to welcome you again to Vienna in the future!
We absolutely loved this walking tour, it was seeing Vienna with a difference. Instead of the usual tourist hotspots, we explored parts of Vienna that we would never have found on our own. Our guide, who is also the owner, had an incredible depth of knowledge about the City's rich history. The tour was informative and very relaxed. We came away with a real appreciation of Vienna and its history beyond the grand Museums and Palaces. An absolute highlight of our trip. Thank you Sagi!!
A very informative, entertaining and interesting tour with our guide Wolfgang. The tour is highly recommended! Wolfgang has always found a place to tell us the stories even in rain. TOP!
We had am amazing tour by really fantastic, smart and interesting company manager - Sagy. The tour itself was fascinating, we were just hypnotized by high level of lecturing and huge knowledge base of Sagy! You could easily see how much Sagy loves what he is doing and how much he loves Vienna and Austria. If there was a "double-excellent" rate, it would be still not enough to express how much fun we had! We definitely recommend this tour, our trip to Vienna became much meaningful. He also recommended many places to see in Austria and we will visit there for sure! Thanks a lot for wonderful 2 hours in cold December evening in Vienna which turn out to be very warm :-)
Hello, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your experience with Secret Vienna. It was a pleasure both for me and for our guide to meet you and show you Vienna. In order to clarify for other visitors to not confuse, the meeting with me (Sagi the owner) was before the tour with our guide, when we discussed the depth of Vienna's history and the passion we have for this city. The great reviews and experiences that we offer are thanks to a team of 16 dedicated guides who work hard to offer unforgettable experiences. We try to keep everything from the registration process, to the meeting at the meeting point to the tour itself and the follow-up after to be as personal and warm as possible. We hope to see you again in future tours and wish you to always keep exploring! Kind regards, Sagi Z.
