The concert was very good and we enjoyed it
The church was so hot with very poor ventilation
The concert was wonderful, and the musicians were outstanding. No complaints with any of that. Unfortunately, the church was so hot inside that I almost had to leave early. This is no one’s fault, of course, but I do wish that there had at least been a few fans to move the air around or something. I was very impressed that the performers powered through it all looking always very professional.
Very good string quartet and a very enjoyable concert. Thank you. It’s also in a very beautiful setting.
We heard about this concert from fellow travelers and got tickets through Viator while eating lunch. The church is gorgeous and the music amazing. Great last minute decision. Highly recommend.
Loved just being present with the live performance and it was special being inside St. Peter’s Church.
Easy to get to by taxi. Variety if string music, mozart and Handel. Venue at St Peter's cathedral was awesome. Loved the church style.
Pleasurable experience. Great music and class musicians
We were really looking forward to this experience prior to our visit to Vienna. And the experience was absolutely wonderful. The ambiance, the skill level of the musicians and the music itself created an atmosphere that cannot be matched in the US. Even though it was unseasonably “warm” in Vienna, the church was not overwhelmingly hot (fans definitely helped). The entrance was a little tricky to find (the side door in the back was closed when we arrived, so we second guessed if that was the entrance and did a full perimeter loop before realizing it WAS the entrance (not a big deal). Loved everything about this. Do wish it was a little less costly (we had a family of 4), but I understand that everything is costly these days. I was appreciative for the casual dress code as well, we were lacking in fancy clothes for this vacation.
Tickets are exchanged at the entrance, and it’s advisable to arrive early since seating is unreserved. The church is beautiful, and the young woman who welcomed us was extremely kind and helpful. Unfortunately, our experience was spoiled by the behaviour of one of the ushers. We arrived early to sit together, but although the venue was still empty, he asked us to give up the seats we had chosen to a person who was alone, forcing our group to split up despite there being plenty of other available seats. The situation was unnecessary and discourteous. Later, when the church was full, we saw the same usher respect seats that had already been taken by others. We felt we were treated unfairly and without respect. It is disappointing that such a concert was overshadowed by this behaviour.
