This is NOT a food tour of TX despite the photo of brisket on the tour. Extremely disappointed. We had a driver, not a guide. Ricky was a very nice man, but he did not even know the significance of the nostalgic gas station 2 blocks from pick up point. He felt bad about not meeting our expectations. First stop was a wine bar that was Portugal and Spain influence. You got wine, one toast with prosciutto, delectable puff potatoes and frittata. The next was 3 doors down at a Mexican place. No one expected us, it was a hot mess. We were given tortilla and salsa while we waited a very long time for one el Pasteur taco that was scary and disgusting. They served a jalapeño margarita with tahini on the rim (I don’t do anything hot). The last place was international dessert where we were given a sampling of French (macaron), Italian (tiramasu), Canadian (nanaimo) and Brazil (brigadeiros). Nothing about TEXAS!
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry the tour did not meet your expectations. Our Waco Foodie Tour is designed to showcase a variety of locally owned restaurants and the diverse culinary influences that make up Waco's food scene. Rather than focusing exclusively on Texas barbecue or Texas-only cuisine, guests experience a range of flavors from some of Waco's favorite local establishments. While this tour was clearly not the right fit for your preferences, it has been enjoyed by many visitors who are looking to explore Waco's diverse local food scene through a variety of locally owned restaurants and culinary styles. We also appreciate your comments about Ricky. He genuinely cares about our guests and works hard to create an enjoyable experience. While the tour includes information about Waco and the restaurants we visit, its primary focus is the local food experience rather than providing the history of every landmark or private property along the route. We regret the service issues you experienced at one of our restaurant partners. Based in part on guest feedback, we have since replaced that stop and enhanced the overall experience. We appreciate you joining us and wish you the very best in your future travels.
We only went to three stops. I thought there should have been more. I would have liked more history about the area.
Thank you for joining our Waco Foodie Tour and for sharing your feedback. We're sorry the experience didn't fully meet your expectations. Our tour is designed as a mobile tasting experience that visits a select number of locally owned restaurants while providing guests with more than 14 food and drink tastings throughout the tour. Rather than making numerous quick stops, we focus on offering a wider variety of tastings at each location. We also appreciate your comments regarding the history of the area. While the primary focus of this tour is Waco's food scene, we are always looking for ways to incorporate more local history and context into the experience. Thank you again for your feedback. Guest comments help us continue improving the tour, and we appreciate you giving us the opportunity to share some of Waco's local flavors.
Visited several local places to eat, all providing elements of the local cuisine. The food was great and we enjoyed talking with the proprietors, getting some history of the city and its people.

This food tour was absolutely perfect from the first bite, all due to our amazing tour guide Sue!! Not only was she so knowledgeable about the Waco food scene, she made us wish we had another few nights to see and taste more of Waco!!
It was great food and plenty of it. It wasn’t a lot of history of Waco. I know it was a food tour but usually they give a little history about the city.
Sue is a fun and informative guide. The food was great. Would recommend this tour. The meet up location has items to purchase also.
We visited three places. The first stop we had wine and appetizers. Very good! The next stop was Mexican. The jalapeño margaritas were wonderful but the taco was just average. The last stop was dessert at a little place you would pass by if you didn’t know it was there however all the samples were delicious!!
Absolutely wonderful. Ms. Sue was our guide and she was knowledgeable and funny! Food was great. Drinks were great. Would highly recommend!
Today we rejoined our Fixer Upper Tour Guide Sue for the Food Tour. It was excellent as well. Sue again was fun and informative. The food stops (there were 3) were all delicious and interesting. We started with wine and Tapas at the Spanish restaurant Segovia. The owner Courtney explained the wines and the three Tapas that we ate. All were excellent. We then went to an historic BBQ restaurant still owned by the original family. It too was excellent. The last course was a delicious selection of desserts from a bakery specializing in desserts from around the world. The whole experience was really fun and the food delicious.
