Too much waiting!

Round trip this tour took close to five hours for about 45 minutes of interesting information. We signed up the day before for an 8:00 tour. We started boarding the ferry about 8:15. The ferry didn’t leave the port until around 8:50. The crossing took about 50 minutes. Then we transferred to a bus and had to wait for the bus drivers to come on a different ferry. Then we toured the island by bus finally arriving at the prison. The prison guide was indeed a former inmate so that part was interesting. We also got to see Nelson Mandela’s cell, which was somewhat interesting but really, you’re better off just watching a documentary about Nelson Mandela and using your time to do something more interesting in Cape Town.
