Good afternoon, the day before the scheduled date (May 7-8, 2026), I communicated that due to health reasons I would not be able to attend, and I was advised to notify on the same day. Following the instructions, on the same day of the visit, I sent a medical report from the hospital regarding my husband, with the diagnosis of neuron and COPD. I received an automatic response, indicating that I SHOULD HAVE PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING, as it could take some time due to the volume of emails, so starting the next day, I began to check if I had received any email from Puy du F.. After several days, I called, and I was told that I had missed the deadline, as on the same day I sent the first email, they sent a response within 4 hours, in which I was given the option to choose another date, but for that, I had 17 hours. I know that response was sent, but I initially did not receive it; however, regardless of this problem with the email, THEY ASK US FOR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING in the first response, but they CANNOT have it, indicating only a margin of 17 hours, which means if it falls at night or while working, it is no longer feasible, which seems to indicate that this interval is deliberately set to lose the amount paid. They do not even have UNDERSTANDING regarding the illness, as in a second email I indicated that I was still on oxygen therapy and several treatments, and that once I submitted the cancellation email, I did not start checking my email until the next day. If they had not initially indicated anything about having patience due to their volume, I would not have missed the deadline, as I would have called in the afternoon to inquire. From my experience, I do NOT recommend purchasing tickets for this park in advance, as even if it is due to FORCE MAJEURE, they have neither the PATIENCE NOR UNDERSTANDING that they ask of us. It has been impossible to speak with the commercial department; they do not provide any phone number, and despite sending several emails and indicating my phone number for them to contact me, their only response was OUT OF TIME, after more than 17 hours had passed. My disappointment with PUY DU FOU, you can imagine, no problem with accommodation, and they are completely unyielding. Although the website indicates that refunds are not allowed, when it is due to force majeure, they should provide the option to go another time, NOT indicating anything about patience, and giving a longer time margin to check the email, as if it is a 12-hour workday, 24 hours, or if it falls at night, it is impossible not to miss the deadline. They are very kind when making the reservation and inviting us to book restaurants or wheelchairs, but they have NO UNDERSTANDING regarding what has happened to me.
On May 13th, I visited Puy Du Fou for the second time, with some friends on a bus tour. As we passed through the entrance, the security personnel indicated how we should go through the checkpoint; I had a small knife and took it out of my pocket to go through the control. One of them told me that I could not take it through, that I should leave it in the car. I explained to him that the bus that brought me was leaving and that another one would come to take us, and I could not take it anywhere. I asked if I left it at the checkpoint, could I retrieve it on the way out, to which the security personnel told me to consider it lost. A knife is a keepsake, a gift; one grows fond of it just as one can grow fond of a ring, bracelet, or keychain.... In a place where it is allowed to bring something to eat, it is not unusual for someone to bring it along as a companion. Knives are sold in all souvenir shops. If the management of Puy Du Fou decides that it cannot be brought in for safety or regulatory reasons, FINE, but it cannot be considered lost as if it did not matter. It is something personal. What is collected must be returned; it is not a crime to carry a small knife. The shows they put on are wonderful, and the organization and cleanliness throughout are very good... But the items collected at the entrance should be returned upon exiting. TOÑO
Correct, but very very expensive, possibly the most expensive travel bus I've done in my life. Madrid-Puy du Fou Roundtrip. About fifty euros!! Come on. More than the show itself. Each party I mean. I can speak English but it's not my purchasing power
Dear guest. Thank you for your feedback. We understand your comments regarding the price and appreciate you sharing your opinion. We are glad to know the service itself was correct and we will take your feedback into account. Best Regards from the Quality Department of Amigo Tours – Rodrigo
I would have given Puy du Fou 0 stars, but the shows were genuinely excellent, so it scrapes a reluctant 1 star. The historical spectacles are spectacular and worth the trip — the dining experience, however, cost us 80 euros for absolutely nothing. A couple of suggestions for newcomers planning to eat there: - Bring your own sandwiches. The restaurant will generously provide extra protein in the form of flies doing the backstroke through your salad. - Make a reservation at "El Bodegón del Capitán" if you enjoy suspense. Nothing says "fine dining" like walking in to find your food already pre-placed on the table, with local wildlife happily exploring it before you even sit down. - If your wife is pregnant (or if you have basic standards of hygiene), do not expose her to this level of surprise seasoning. We lasted about 30 seconds before the sight of flies doing laps in the salad made us lose all appetite and confidence in the kitchen. - When you politely explain to management what you just saw, don’t expect a refund. They’ll kindly offer to “make the salad again” — because apparently the second batch will magically be fly-free while you’re still out 80 euros with zero dinner. - The loss of faith in their food safety is instant and irreversible. Once you’ve seen it, you can’t unsee it. The shows were the only thing that saved the day. Everything else felt like they put more effort into the medieval battles on stage than into basic kitchen hygiene or basic customer respect. Overall, Puy du Fou proves that spectacular entertainment and basic restaurant standards can exist in complete separation. Beautiful shows, but we walked away 80 euros lighter with empty stomachs, zero confidence in their food, and the strong recommendation to bring your own lunch if you value not playing “guess which fly was in your Caesar salad.” Complete disappointment on the dining front.
Dear traveler. We regret your experience. We would like to clarify that we do not manage or operate any food or restaurant services inside the park, as these are provided directly by the venue and its vendors. We take your comments into account. Best Regards from the Quality Department of Amigo Tours – Rodrigo
We wanted to visit Puy du Fou from Madrid and thought ‘why not book it from a tour company with bus transfer?’ That is all there is. Our driver spoke only Spanish, almost everyone was Spanish but you should at least told us about directions, hours, etc. Bus stop is really far from night show area, and there were dozens upon dozens bus at midnight, so it was a hassle to return. Also had to wait another 30 minutes in the bus for older folk couldn’t make the long walk back. -You get the most important thing ‘entry tickets’ sent to you by email in the morning of your visit. If you can’t access it….you are cooked. Our driver is not a guide, only driving and listening to football on the radio. - Our meeting point near Neptuno fountain was half blocked by construction.Ok maybe you don’t control that, but at least give a warning. -Now the real deal: Our driver stopped the Bus on the road somewhere near museo reina Sofia at 01:00 am. And people started getting off. A few tourists like us looked at each other. I asked the driver ‘aren’t we going back where you picked us up? Neptuno? Get off here?’ And he replied ‘todos…(something in Spanish) signed us to get down. Everybody got off the bus. So we had to find a taxi to return to our hotel. Because It would be a torture to run to a metro station (which closes at 01:30!!!) with our child. I have chosen this tour only for easy transportation for our late night return. I would have arrange my own transportation and bought the tickets from the park website for a fraction of the cost,if I knew about these.
Dear Alper. We regret your experience. The transport service is arranged as a shared transfer with specific operational stops and return logistics, which are communicated as part of the tour conditions. We take your comments regarding coordination and communication into account for review. Best Regards from the Quality Department of Amigo Tours – Rodrigo
Spectacular. Highly recommended, we loved all the shows and atmosphere of Puy du Fou
Good morning, in principle I would like to inform you that there was no guide. The morning bus arrived a little late and had to park behind other buses that hindered his vision and no one left to warn. But the most remarkable thing was the return trip, the bus was leaving without us arriving, it was a family member who prevented its departure because it is out in front, the driver said he had no passenger list, he would have left us there. It wasn't late from the start of the show it takes a few minutes to leave the auditorium and get to the parking lot I hope you improve at least the Service back to Madrid and do not leave anyone in the middle of noon.
Estimado cliente.
The excellent operator. Very correct and fulfilled. An amazing sight. The shows are great all day long. And the one of the night “The dream of Toledo” magnificent. The amazing scenery. The excellent details. If you go on a walk to Madrid you can not miss it. If you do not know Toledo dedicate 2 days. One to meet him that is beautiful and one to go to the park the full day. You're not gonna regret it. I swear.
Everything's fine but the bus rides. I'm late in both but the one with the lap 45' late..The driver gave no explanation. Nor did he apologize and make unfortunate comments.
The bus left on time, the trip was very good, without any setback. The park shows are wonderful. I recommend going in autumn or spring so you don't suffer much from the sun and heat. I also recommend going on weekdays so that there are fewer people and if they are carrying elderly people it may be advisable to pay the fast line if they go on Saturday because it gets very crowded and there are queues of up to an hour. I also suggest you bring food and bottles of water. They sell food there, but it's good to carry something on your own. The bus back very well too. Everything went properly. Also the package included a preferred seat for the last show and we played in the 4 row, excellent location. All very well.
