There was a lot to see. However we had a 9am appt and did not begin the tour till 11am. I was tired of standing around for 2 hours waiting for tour. I wanted to leave half way thru and was told I could not I had to wait for the group to leave. Then pick up bus which was supposed to be 12 became 1:30 and arrived at 1:45. We did see ruins but no frescoes or museum quality things.
Fatal.Let them charge admission when access is free. We took the reservation the day before the activity and were charged the price of the two tickets. Once we get to the compound we will get free access
This made our travel to Pompeii so much easier! We had plenty if free time to explore and had an easy time finding the meeting points for drop off and pick up. Highly recommend!
Our guide was the best! My 89 year old Morher was completely worn out after touring Pompeii. Our guide drove back to get her so she wouldn’t have to walk the rest of the way. He was very kind and courteous, we both appreciated that.
The tour fulfilled what was promised: comfortable transportation, very professional guide/driver and visit of the planned duration. I only regretted that the previous day the schedule was changed, delaying it by one hour, which took up my time in Naples. Ideally, the original schedule should be maintained whenever possible.
Convenient way to tour Pompeii on your own. Round trip ride with arranged tickets. Great option for groups.
Easy way to pre-book a comfortable and private ride to Pompeii. Our driver was waiting right outside the port for us and another driver was ready and waiting to take us back after. We got our tickets from them the day before, so we walked right in when we got to Pompeii.
Thanks a lot Have a nice day See you next time
The taxi service Viator used was very poor. They sent a link to change the morning pick up point, so we had to walk the 10 minutes there, not really knowing where we were going, only to find out once we got there that the taxi had gone to the original pick up point. Also the pick up was booked for 9am and they changed it to 9.45am. On dropping us at Pompeii, the driver agreed a time and place for collection. He did not turn up or call or message. We had to call him, only to be told he was having car trouble and he was sending someone else. We were stood at a taxi area outside Pompeii for 45 minutes in scorching heat, with no where to wait safely, for the other taxi to arrive. Very poor service both ways.
Hi it's not really this review . We had a problem with a car in the return and sent another car. It was a shared and group service not private. Next time reserve private service if you are not flexible
