The Koutoubia Mosque is the most important in Marrakech and was one of the largest in the Islamic world at the end of its construction in 1158. The construction of the Koutoubia began in 1141 at the request of the Almohad caliph Abd al Mumin and particularly attracts attention for the height of its minaret – which is reminiscent of that of the Giralda – and for its pink sandstone color, typical of the city. Its name, which means “booksellers’ mosque” in French, comes from the numerous book stalls which surrounded the monument after the end of its construction.

Pick-up is offered if your hotel or riad is in the city center or 5 kilometers far from the center. Outside this zone you pay a supplement of 1 Euro per kilometer per person.

Unfortunatley the driver did not speak very good English. We were dropped off next to the big Mosque and told he would pick us back up in 1 hour , so we walked around the park He then drive arround for a while and dropped us off outside the Palace and again said 1 hour He then drove around again pointed us the direction the main Souk Square and gave us 2 hours Now, the whole area within the old City Wall is not that far to drive so we were dropped off at 3 places and made our own way around the areas without any advice, guidance, description or direction We then 3 days later took the hotel bus into the walled city area and spent 5 hours ourselves for a fraction of the price. For Viator very dissapointed this was NOT GOOD for us , we were the only people on this trip so very dissapointed we didnt get to see the Souks by guide or any of the historical parts of the city by guide

Our city tour includes only private car with driver. we mentioned in our city tour on Viator the visits included in 4 hours and we give it to you honestly. our city tour does not include tour guide to go with you in the old city. Finally we offer in all our products on Viator and TripAdvisor transport services only as it's mentioned clearly in all products descriptions. please read description and itinerary of any product before you book.

They messaged the night before to say where and when they would pick us up.Never showed tried to phone them on the phone they messaged me on but no answer !

I couldn't recommend Youssef highly enough. He was not only the perfect transport service but also his assistance with planning our itinerary based off our requirements was first class. His local knowledge helped us find everything we were looking for and he was available 24 hours a day for whenever we required picking up on little to no notice. Top service from start to finish. Our driver Youssef was very very polite, courteous, spoke great English and was always on time. He was really knowledgeable of the local areas and helped us to not get scammed. He did it all from arranging day trips, sorting out quad biking, awaiting with club entry and even collected us back at 5am. Highly recommend.
