Afternoon drive to Islamic Cairo begins with the 12th century Citadel of Saladin. Within the walls of this medieval fortress is Alabaster Mosque built by Mohamed Ali , on a site, which was once occupied by Mameluke and Ottoman palaces.
Continue to Christian Old Cairo, where the Romans constructed the fortress of Babylon. Built over the ruins of the two towers of this fortress is the Church of St. Mary or El-Moallaqah (meaning overhanging or suspended), which is why the most popular name for this church is the hanging Church. Visit the Church of St. Sergius , founded at the end of the 4th century; it stands on a crypt that is said to have sheltered the Holy Family during their flight to Egypt . back to hotel

I had a private tour with Doaa who was a lovely guide. She was really friendly, gave wonderful recommendations and I learnt so much about the history and culture. The day felt really relaxed and the driver made sure we got everywhere we needed. We had a few souvenir stops which were very overpriced but otherwise a great tour and would go again.

Ehab our tour guide, took us around cairo and explained history of the buildings, the periods in which they built and it was very informative. He is very friendly, approachable and address the doubts very patiently. The driver magdey drove us around the city and we felt very safe Highly recommended for sure

Kyrllos Eskandar was amazing. We started the day at the mosque of Mohammed Ali and moved to the hanging church. Kyrllos was very knowledgeable about the history of Egypt. We stopped at a local cotton shop and then moved to the Egyptian museum where he put his years of study to work explaining all the dynasties from beginning to the end. Wonderful tour

Had a day trip to Egyptian museum,Islamic mosque and Khan Al Khalili market. It was a good experience. Driver Shady was well experienced and familiar with the roads. Managed to start and finish the trip on time.

This was a great day trip for anyone who is trying to explore Cairo city in a day. The guide Ehab who was with us throughout the day is a wonderful human and a great guide who exactly knows the city and its history. His explanation regarding the Citadel, the Church and its history, and the best part is the museum which is covered thoroughly in a short time. Also he knows the city and its people so well that we were able to see places that we thought we would miss, a few calls and we were able to make it to those tough places as well. All in all a great trip and I’d recommend this 100%

We had a wonderful time on our tour to several sites in Cairo and to the Egyptian Museum. Our guide, Egab, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He moved at a good pace, but allowed us to take time to explore on our own. Of the three guides we had in Egypt, he was our favorite. We would recommend this tour.
