Itinerary
The Pyramid of the Sun is the largest structure in Teotihuacán and one of the most impressive ancient monuments in the Americas. Built around 200 AD, it rises over 65 meters (213 feet) and offers a striking view of the surrounding Avenue of the Dead. This iconic pyramid reflects the advanced engineering and spiritual significance of the Teotihuacan civilization.
The Pyramid of the Moon is located at the northern end of the Avenue of the Dead and serves as a focal point of the city’s ceremonial core. Smaller than the Pyramid of the Sun, it is equally impressive for its symmetry and its connection to the surrounding plazas and palaces. The nearby complexes, including residential and administrative structures, feature intricate murals, altars, and open courtyards that offer insight into the daily life, rituals, and social organization of the Teotihuacan civilization.
The Citadel (Ciudadela) is a vast ceremonial complex in Teotihuacán, capable of holding thousands of people and likely used for important public and religious events. At its center stands the Temple of the Feathered Serpent, also known as Temple of Quetzalcoatl, one of the most richly decorated structures in the city. Its façade is adorned with striking stone carvings of feathered serpents and other symbolic figures, reflecting the religious beliefs, power, and artistic sophistication of the Teotihuacan civilization.

Very great tour. The transportation there and back was easy and comfortable. Tour guide had amazing information. There was ample time at the archeological site. And the dinner/drinks in La Gruta (the cave) was a great way to end the experience. Highly recommended
A must see tour in Mexico City.
The guides were very kind and provided a lot of historical information.
Everyone who was part of the tour, from the driver to the guides, was kind and approachable; they responded very well to questions.
Excellent! And highly recommend.
The team had significant knowledge of the Teotihaucan, I'm glad we went with the tour. My wife and I had a great experience, we would no doubt book again. We learned so much.
This trip was perfect for my family of four. We have two kids, 7 & 8, who are fairly active in sports and were able to climb up both the moon and serpent pyramids. Our guide was great with the historical information. The whole family enjoyed the La Gruta cave restaurant lunch, which was a nice treat after all the walking and climbing. It's truly a memorable experience! I was concerned about booking after reading some of the other La Gruta reviews, but this was the best food I'd had on my trip so far. It's a bit pricy, but you're paying for the atmosphere, which you're not going to find in many other places. My oldest child returned to the hotel room and began documenting her adventure with drawings of the cave and pyramids. I think experience will become a core memory.
"Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us! We're really happy to hear that your whole family enjoyed the adventure, especially the pyramids and the experience at La Gruta. It’s wonderful to know that your child was inspired enough to come back and draw the caves and pyramids — those kinds of memories are truly special and exactly what we hope our guests take home with them. We also appreciate your kind words about the guide and the historical information. We hope to welcome you and your family back to Mexico for another adventure in the future!"
