Great trip to Chichen Itsa

Great day trip today! Carlos was a brilliant tour guide, we enjoyed learning about Chichen itsa and then onto to a beautiful Cenote for a swim and a swing! The lunch was authentic and we enjoyed our short walk around town. Highly recommend this trip if your looking for a personalised trip

Carlos Was Absolutely Fantastic!

Carlos was absolutely fantastic and made our day truly special. We traveled with my elderly mother and my 10-year-old son, and Carlos took wonderful care of both of them throughout the entire trip. He was incredibly friendly, kind, and attentive. His explanations were clear and engaging, and he was always happy to answer our questions. Even though we had a tight schedule, he planned everything perfectly and made the most of our time with great attention to detail and experience. What touched us the most was the personal connection he made with our son. Our son plays ice hockey, and Carlos took the time to talk with him and show genuine interest in him. It was such a thoughtful gesture and really made the experience memorable for our family. His English was excellent, and the vehicle was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. If we have the chance to visit again, we would absolutely love to have Carlos as our guide again. Highly recommended!

Great trip!!!!

We had the best time learning about the Mayan culture, swimming in a senate and shopping in the town. Roberto was a fabulous guide. He was accommodating, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He was also great with the kiddos.

Chichen Itza tour

We had a private car that collected us from our hotel and took us on our excursion. Both the driver of the private minibus and our guide were excellent. Incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful as we have kids with us. It was a seamless experience and I would have no issue in recommending.

Worth the money for an early viewing of Chichen Itza

Our guide was Eric Danny, he was very knowledgeable and a great conversation in the van. We've done tours before were there's multiple stops to pick people up and you're stuffed in a van for 12 hours. It's not fun. This was worth the money to have the van to ourselves. Plenty of cold water, AC, and extra leg room. Because we were the only pickup, we got to Chichen Itza from Playa in about 2 hours. We arrived a little before they opened, which was awesome because it allows you first access to the temple and the ball court. That's crucial if you're looking to take photos with no one or minimal people in the background. Eric took us through the grounds and unloaded a ton of knowledge about it's history. Once we were done, he gave us some time to walk around and take pictures and buy souvenirs. There are a TON of vendors selling things, so if you get on the fence about buying something, keep walking and think about it. In 4 or 5 more stalls you'll see the same thing. Prices can be haggled and they do take American cash. As we were walking out of the tour, the crowd came in a huge wave of people, around a thousand people. Eric said it's not uncommon for crowds to exceed 5,000 plus. After the tour, we headed to a cenote to swim. This was an equally awesome experience. The water was clean, clear, and cool. I highly suggest finding some way to waterproof your camera or phone, you will want to take pictures down there. We didn't have anything, so all our images stay in our memory. Lockers were not included, so you will have to pay for a locker, or Eric stayed with the van so we just left our stuff with him. After the cenote, we headed to the town (I forgot the name) for lunch. It was authentic Yucatan cuisine, and it was delicious. My only gripe is no beverages whatsoever are included. I knew dessert and alcohol was not included in the price, but water isn't either, so you'll have to pay for your beverage. The town was a little underwhelming, there was not much to see or do in the area of thw San Bernadino Church. That was fine though, by then we were ready to go back to the resort. We ended up back at Playa by 3pm. So overall, it was a great trip, especially if you're not a fan of crowded vans. Thanks again to Eric.

The service was first-class. At no time did we feel rushed; the entire tour was carried out calmly and very well

My advice is to enjoy the experience without rushing and follow the guide's recommendations. Arriving early, wearing comfortable clothing, sunscreen, water, and a hat will make the tour much more pleasant.

Informative and Fun!!

Such a great guide! I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this before out family still talks about everything we learned on the way to and back, the cenote we swam in, the food we ate, the sites we visited and monkeys he pulled over to show us. Not just smart but passionate about the culture and history. Highly recommended.

Amazing Day!

This tour was perfect, and well worth the money! I’ve done larger guided tours before with the bus and long schedule - being able to say when we were ready to leave a place or couldn’t bear the heat any longer was definitely worth the extra money. Chicken Itza was amazing - I only wish I had put on sunscreen before we left the parking lot, and remembered my cooling towel! Getting there early was perfect. It sucked waking up so early (especially coming from west coast time) but zooming right in no lines no vendors set up yet was much more pleasant than when we left and the path was wall to wall giant umbrellas and vendors yelling at you to buy souvenirs. Things were, of course, overpriced! $45 USD for tiny snow globes was laughable. I know you’re meant to haggle but they wouldn’t come down enough. The cenote was beautiful but a little scary for me as I don’t do crowds or caves, but it was very refreshing! Lunch was delicious and felt very upscale. Our guide, Antonio, was awesome! We spent the last two hour drive back talking about movies and books, which was so fun and made the time fly. It was neat to meet someone from across the world who liked the same random 90’s movies as me! He also gave great background knowledge and was very informative about the sights. All in all, I am ruined for life on the big group tour busses from now on. VIP Private is the only way to go!

Fantastic Day Out

Fantastic trip! Our guide Isaac was very knowledgeable and told us a lot about Chichen Itza. Our lunch stop was yummy and we even had extra time downtown to take more photos. A refreshing jump into the cenote rounded off our day nicely. A great trip that we’d highly recommend!
