The concert was excellent. It was held in a smaller, ornate chamber with beautiful acoustics. The orchestra of 23 musicians was more intimate than a full orchestra, and we actually enjoyed it more. We did not know beforehand that it was a smaller concert so initially disappointed but it was lovely.
I didn’t get to see the musicians unless I stood up and leaned over. Description wasn’t clear. If I had known where the seats were which apparently were pre assigned I would have not booked them. We also had to wait a while to get our vouchers redeemed.
Outstanding performance . One of the best classical music concerts I have ever seen. Amazing first violinist!
A real pleasure to hear the violin master. There was performed Mozart's symphony 40,G-dur,and after the break Vivaldis famous "Four season".
Enjoyed a couple of classical music in a well known concert hall in Vienna
The orchestra was wonderful. The building beautiful but it did become very hot with no ventilation. I went outside at intermission but was locked out. Luckily my husband was able to let me back in.
Smooth collection of tickets. Performance excellent 😊. Glad we booked independently of tour company as it saved a lot of money.
My husband, son and I attended the "Mozart & Vivaldies Four Seasons at the Musikverein" in February. It was an experience which visitors to Vienna should try whether or not you are classical music lovers.
We are not classical music aficionados. We do enjoy the popular classical pieces when performed with other classical entertainment. This was 2 hours of obscure (to us) pieces that went on and on. Plus, the conductor was a self absorbed Prima Donna who seemed to think he was the star that everyone came to see. Almost every piece was arranged to highlight him. We have been to other concerts in Vienna where there was more variety and more recognizable classical pieces and were highly enjoyable.
Not clear on the tickets that this was in the Brahms Room and not the main concert hall. Entry and accessing tickets totally chaotic. Seating on wooden seats, like a 19th century Third class rail coach. No legroom. No air. Just able to see the heads of the players. Audience on their phones. No programme available. Audience constantly fidgeting and changing seats. The playing was good, and the acoustics terrific
