Together with your friendly local guide breathe in the spicy aromas of gingerbread as you wend your way through the traditional Viennese Christmas markets held one of the oldest squares in Vienna - Am Hof, most popular Christmas Market at Town Hall Square (Rathaus) and the last stop is Charles Square Christmas market ( Karlsplatz) . Marvel at the city's beautiful architecture during stops at Graben and the Rathaus, then finish your tour with a mug of hot spiced wine (at your own cost)

This festive walking tour begins when you make your way to Graben Street - wonderful decorated with giant Christmas chandeliers. Greet your professional guide and the rest of your small group, and set off on foot to walk past some of Vienna's most important landmarks. Ask your guide plenty of questions; the small group size ensures personal service.
The Freyung Passage is an architectural jewel with a marble columns, friezes and ironwork. Great also for window-shopping.
The markets on the Freyung are among the most traditional in Vienna, inspiring with traditional craftsmanship and a festive, quiet atmosphere – away from the usual hustle and bustle of many other markets.
Christmas market Am Hof is located at one of the oldest and most beautiful squares of Vienna. Famous for its "Zirbenpunsch" and big variety of local food stalls. Austrian Post is also represented here and offers visitors a very special highlights.
The Burgtheater is Austrian National Theatre and the most important German language theatre worldwide.
Minorien Church presents most impressive nativity of Vienna. The sight of this nativity scene can undoubtedly put the viewer in a meditative mood. Of course, this is partly due to the beauty of the figures, but also to the landscaping and the ingenuity in the presentation and characterisation of various types of people.
The traditional Christmas market with around 150 stalls offers Christmas presents, Christmas tree ornaments, handicrafts, culinary delicacies, sweets and warming drinks. The trees in the Rathauspark and along the Ringstraße shine in festive splendor.
Vienna City Hall (Rathaus) is the seat of Vienna’s government
Wiener State Opera is one of the leading opera houses in the world.
The tour ends at Art Advent Karlsplatz Christmas market; where you can continue to enjoy the colourful atmosphere, traditional Austrian food, and mulled wine as you browse the stalls of handicraft items and vintage-style Christmas decorations.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour with Dace. We got to experience a variety of different types of Christmas markets and spent just the right amount of time in each.
Trying to visit 4 Christmas Markets in two hours, along with some historical sites, was too much. Our guide had to rush us through each location. No time even for pictures!

The tour needs to be longer. Too rushed to do 4 Christmas markets in 2 hours plus the last market was too far away from the city center. Barely had time to take pictures. We were only in town one night so needed more time to enjoy.

Vienna at Christmas time was magical. The Christkindle Market was one of the best markets we saw. Perfect for young and old alike we ranged from 15 - 74. Cannot recommend Vienna enough as a fantastic destination especially at Christmas time.
Great tour. We visited four markets, and the best ones too!! The tour operator used audio equipment so we could always hear the knowledge she was providing. We even seen the Last Supper that Nepoleon had commissioned in a church that we passed. It was great!!
Outstanding tour. Dace our guide was fantastic, and ensured we all saw as much as we could. Dace was also very knowledgeable and made the tour so interesting. Highly recommend.

We stayed in the Grand hotel which was excellent but pricey & a great location right next to the State Opera. Lots of cafe restaurants nearby but with limited menus . The Tirolerof provides good food at reasonable prices. Visited the Christmas markets but disappointed to find the items vastly overpriced & much cheaper in the UK. Used the Big Bus hop on hop off sightseeing service for 48 hrs & saw the great palaces & museums and the other parts of the city. Wonderful architecture & culture made up for the Christmas markets which were a let down.

Very nice tour, we learned a lot about Vienna we never knew. History of the city but also about the rich families who lived here and made the city what it is nowadays. If you have planned a trip to Vienna, book this tour as well.
one of the nicest Christmas markets I"ve visited lately its so nice full of magic ,the decorations are amazing you feel like a child again .
We thoroughly enjoyed this trip on our first day. WE WERE VERY LUCKY as 2 people cancelled and the guide continued kindly with us like a private tour! We had a brief look at the cathedral while waiting for the others who never came. We then enjoyed a walking tour in the sun, but chilly! a great introduction to the city centre plus a few Christmas markets. As the light faded the Christmas lights/markets had atmosphere, very festive!Our friendly guide even showed us a great café to get the Viennese coffee and cake.
