Inside Victoria Falls National Park, visitors explore 16 prominent vantage points that reveal the grandeur of Victoria Falls. The guided walk begins with Devil’s Cataract, located near Cataract Island, where guests witness the Zambezi River plunging into the gorge. From here, the trail continues to the Cataract Viewpoint, where about 38 steps lead down to a closer perspective of the cascading water and rising mist. Continuing along the rainforest path, visitors enjoy sweeping views of the impressive Main Falls, the largest curtain of water at the falls. Guests also see Livingstone Island, where explorer David Livingstone first observed the waterfall in 1855. The walk then reveals Horseshoe Falls, Rainbow Falls, the highest point of the falls, and the Eastern Cataract, before ending near Armchair Falls, where the Zambezi River completes its plunge into the gorge.

10 min

While walking along the Victoria Falls Bridge, guests learn about its historical significance as part of the Cape to Cairo colonial vision. The bridge symbolically and physically connects north and south Africa, serving as a vital link between Zimbabwe and Zambia. As you cross, your guide shares the story of the bridge’s construction, its role in trade and transport, and how it became a strategic and engineering marvel of its time. This stop offers not only historical insight but also breathtaking views of the Zambezi River and the gorge below, making it both an educational and scenic highlight of the tour.

Tour at Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park: Guests will explore breathtaking views of Armchair Falls and the Eastern Cataract, while learning about the history of Livingstone. Your guide shares stories of the first missionaries, including David Livingstone, who helped publicize Victoria Falls. Visitors experience the misty rainforest, the roar of cascading water, and the unique ecosystem that thrives in the spray, combining awe-inspiring scenery with fascinating historical insights. The tour also includes viewing Armchair Falls, a quieter and scenic section of the Zambezi River. From this vantage point, guests can appreciate the final plunge of the river into the deep basalt gorge while learning about the geological formation of the falls and the cultural significance of the area. Magical MISTical Moments

The waterfalls are very powerful. Make sure you get a rain jacket that is made of plain plastic because my L.L. Bean rain jacket wasn’t worth a dang. It’s almost like a hurricane if you go in the season that I’m in which is the rainy season. I guess the perfect time to see the fall is between August to November. But it was one of the most beautiful sites I’ve ever seen. Sometimes it felt like we were in a hurricane there was so much Miss and wind. It’s magical and everybody should see it at least once in their life. Our guide Roland was very informative and very pleasant young man.
