Cultural Experience

This day trip was well worth a day of our trip. We learned about the culture, food and people of South Africa. Our guide took us to the outdoor shops for food and what things cost and the people who make the offerings. He took us to his own home and homestead...offering us typical African lunch and conversation about the government, culture, animals, and people...The homestead he is from was also a great experience...learning how the Africian people live in more rural areas. We also had our young daughter with us, so her favorite part of the experience was the stop at the school where wee spoke to a classroom, handed out some pens, paper pads and rulers. It was all a wonderful experience!
