Our guide, Graziano Madrabosco was, admittedly, jovial and friendly. But his level of English was frankly insufficient to lead a group for a guided tour. He made numerous grammatical mistakes, searched for his words, and repeated himself. Because of this, it was difficult to understand him, especially since around us, there was a lot of activity that drowned out his small voice.
