Nestled in Vancouver Island’s northern bounds, Telegraph Cove is an intimate haven for whale watchers and conservationists. A former fishing village, today Telegraph Cove plays host to our quintessential whale watching adventure. Departing from Telegraph Cove Resort aboard a 12-passenger open-air Zodiac-style boat, this adventure will take you on a 3 hour fully-guided whale watching & marine wildlife viewing tour.

Important Information
- Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries

- There is a minimum passenger height restriction of 4ft (120cm) and 50 lbs (23kg)
- Each passenger is required to sign a Release of Liability at check in. Participants must be 19 years of age, or require a parent or guardian to sign on their behalf
- Subject to favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date/time/vessel or full refund
- Prince of Whales reserves the right to ask that the credit card used in the booking be presented at check-in, and/or photo ID be presented.

Very beautiful zodiac excursion. There were 8 of us, two per bench. It was perfect. Our guide Logan was enthusiastic, passionate about his work, a lover of nature and animals, and was keen to share his knowledge and passion with us. He did not hesitate to extend the trip a little in the hope of showing us an orca.

Incredible experience with Connor. Very professional guides and easy to understand for French speakers. We saw and filmed a humpback whale doing trap feeding. Rare phenomenon. We were dazzled. Thank you!!!

Phenomenal guides and staff made our whale watching experience a terrific success!! Our guide Kennedy was so wonderful and had such extensive knowledge (historical, scientific and cultural) about the whales we saw along with other great animal sightings we had! She was extremely enthusiastic and entertaining throughout the trip!! Kudos also to the office staff taking reservations and getting us all ready! They all did so extremely well that we’re also going to check out the other Prince of Whale trips in Victoria!

Connor was a fantastic guide. We saw killer whales, humpback whales- learned their names, numbers, the specifics of their cultures and how that compared to others. We also saw porpoises, dolphins, sea otters and a gang of large, smelly sea lions. He was incredibly well-informed and seemed genuinely excited to share his knowledge about the animals. I am a senior with limited mobility who is travelling solo and he was extremely considerate in making sure I was comfortable and got on and off the boat safely and with good humour.

We had an amazing time on the water during the 3 hour Zodiac tour from Telegraph Cove. Our guides, Scotty and Briar, were simply excellent. They guided us through the beautiful waters, while Scotty shared so many interesting facts and stories of the local fauna and flora. It seemed as if he knew the orcas and humpback whales personally. An unforgettable experience.

Excellent! Connor, Briar and Logan were great. They were knowledgeable and friendly. We saw humpback whales, killer whales and lots of amazing bald headed eagles. Would recommend.

We had a great 3 hour trip, led by our excellent guide Connor. We saw humpbacks, sea otters, seals, porpoises, sealions and bald eagles. We were unsure if we would enjoy being on the small rib rather than the bigger boat but it was really great fun! Highly recommended!

Had a great time! Scotty was a wonderful, experienced guide with plenty of knowledge regarding whales and other sea mammals in the area. We were able to spot some Bigg's orca, which was a rarity this early in the season. Also saw Stellar sea lions, a large raft of male sea otters as well as a few seals. Highly recommend this tour.
