Since 2001, Oyama Sausage Co. has been selling its artisanal pâtés, salamis, hams, prosciuttos, and sausages in the Public Market to the delight of locals and visitors alike. Over the years, Oyama’s talented team of sausage-makers have produced over 400 different products, many of which are made with exotic and free range meats.

Amazing afternoon! Mu was a fantastic guide who not only took us to the best places in the market but also told us the history of everywhere we visited! Definitely worth an afternoon while visiting Vancouver’s Granville Island!
This was a terrific experience. Our tour guide was Mu, who did a wonderful job giving us details of the food we were eating, the people behind the companies and about Granville Island itself. He also gave us a cheat sheet of all the food we tried so we could go back and buy more with a 10% discount if we wanted. He chose a great variety of savory and sweet foods, from different food groups and regions for us to try, and everything by was outstanding. He also did a lovely job accommodating our dietary needs, and even arranged for us to have alternative samples at certain stops so we wouldn’t be left out. This was a terrific experience, very worth the money. We got plenty of food, but were never so full that we couldn’t try the next thing. The sample sizes were very satisfying.

The trip was canceled. They called and emailed me the day we were traveling and offered a discount. I didn’t see it because we were traveling. I called the next day and they wouldn’t give any discount not good. Booked with a different company- and it was great!

Great tour, amazing food and incredibly knowledgeable guide! Michael not only knew the food but was also very kind on a day that was more chaotic than usual because of the Holiday Perhaps a more obvious meeting spot would be helpful as another party and us were waiting on the inside of the Plant Shop and group was gathered outside

We took the Vancouver Foodie Tour of Granville Market and were so glad we did. The market is amazing and also a bit overwhelming. The communication was great and instructions clear for where to meet our tour guide. We had skip the line samplings at so many popular vendors. We sampled lemonade tea, a selection of breads, cheeses, meats, fish, sweets, the famous Lee’s donuts, and even some Thai noodles. We enjoyed the variety of foods, were totally full after, and our guide Mu was terrific explaining everything and navigating the very busy market. We also received a 10% discount at the businesses we visited. Definitely recommend!

Many, many samples from some of the top vendors in the market. We especially liked how Alicia sequenced the samples so our tastebuds weren’t overwhelmed by one type of food.
