Itinerary
Our fantastic tour start at Torres de Serranos, where we will meet to make an introduction of Valencian History, speaking about the old main gate of the medieval wall, the conexion with the Turia River and the diferents walls that Valencia had.
Did you realaized how many palaces have Valencia? We will discovered why so many around Barrio del Carmen...
Known as the "Valencian Sistine Chapel", San Nicolás is one of the most attractive temples in the city, with nearly 2,000 square meters of perfectly restored frescoes that leave visitors breathless. The spectacular paintings that decorate the vault represent the twice the surface area of the frescoes in the Sistine Chapel in Rome. With more than 700 years old, Saint Nicholas, which was already a place of worship in Roman times before being a mosque and a Christian church later, is a clear example of coexistence perfect between a temple with a Gothic structure and a splendid baroque decoration.
It is a surprising Gothic building that puts to Valencia city on the list of World Heritage Sites. It is not easy to see large civil buildings of Gothic architecture, which in our imagination we have more linked to the great cathedrals of central and southern Europe. For this reason, in 1996 the Lonja de la Seda was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This international body justifies the declaration because it is an exceptional example of civil Gothic, and represents the strength of trade in Mediterranean cities during the time of its construction. It was built in just 15 years during the 15th century. We will enter to discover why it was so important with silk.
Built on an old Roman temple that was later a mosque. In the Cathedral of Valencia we observe numerous elements from different periods, from the Romanesque to the Baroque. Construction began in the XIII century, having numerous reforms throughout the centuries we find this monumental building. Did you know that the Holy Chalice is in the Cathedral of Valencia? And that it also houses one of the most important pictorial works of the first Spanish Renaissance? History and art mix in the Cathedral. Its walls and doors also protect treasures as valuable as the Holy Chalice. Many studies think that the Grail of Valencia is the one that Jesus used at the Last Supper. Hence, Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI used this relic in the celebration of the Eucharist on their visits to Valencia. Another of the Cathedral's jewels are the Renaissance frescoes on the High Altar of the Valencia Cathedral, which were rediscovered ten years ago when the baroque vault that covered them was removed.
Basilica and Cathedral in the same square, what a view! what a history! We will finish the tour here but discovering the last important points of our culture.

Excellent tour. Found out lots about the sights and Valencia from Paolino. The entrances to the monuments are included which is really good especially on a hot day and you see the long queues waiting in the sun. Highly recommended.
Friendly and knowledgeable guide. Great experience. I highly recommend it.
Grazie mille!
We really enjoyed this visit. Sonia (the guide) explained everything very well, and if you asked her something, she would respond with a thorough explanation without getting annoyed. Moreover, she is very friendly and accompanied us to the heart of Valencia, also telling us about the typical festival of Las Fallas (I am not sure if it is spelled this way). Even though she is Valencian, she spoke Italian well. I highly recommend it; I hope you get Sonia as your guide.
Grazie mille!
Positive experience, excellent guide.
Grazie mille per la splendida recensione! Sonia sarà entusiasta di leggere le vostre parole. Speriamo di potervi accogliere nuovamente a Valencia molto presto!
The guide was very skilled, explained well the main things to know, and also provided some curiosities about Valencia and useful tips for living better in Valencia. Thank you
Grazie mille per la splendida recensione, Giovanni! 😊 Siamo felici che abbia apprezzato il tour e le spiegazioni della nostra guida. Speriamo di rivedervi presto per un'altra esperienza insieme!
Value was good considering we gained entry to multiple spots we would have had to otherwise wait in line and purchase admission separately for. The tour felt long with a bit of time waiting around that seemed it could have been maximized since there is so much to see in Valencia. We could not hear or understand our guide and left us feeling like we didn't learn much and made the overall experience unengaging. Directions to meetup were unlcear as the meeting point is a rather large area with multiple tours meeting in one spot. We did look frantically for the white sign with blue ribbon and could not find our group and were nearly left behind, along with another group of 3 that was lost too - for a total of 7, or half the group, almost left behind and then started without. Our guide also left people behind in the bathroom after encouraging a stop, then continuing on without the people who chose to use the restroom. Overall, I am happy we went simply for the expedited access, but everything else left a lot to be desired. I was hoping to learn more about the city and the history.
Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the priority access, although we are sorry that other aspects of the tour did not meet your expectations. Regarding the meeting point, we always send a Google Maps link, a photo of the meeting point, and the guide's name and photo before the tour. Our office team is also available by phone and WhatsApp to help guests find the group. May we ask if you tried contacting us? We would have been happy to assist you. We are also sorry to hear that you had difficulty hearing the guide. If this had been mentioned during the tour, the guide would have happily spoken louder or invited you to move closer. As for the restroom stop, our guides do not intentionally leave guests behind. It is possible those participants informed the guide that they would not be continuing with the tour. Thank you again for your comments. We will share your feedback with our team as we continue working to improve our guests' experience.
We wanted to get an overview of the city history and sites. Catalina was an awesome guide. She was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited and truly cared about what we were learning and seeing. I highly recommend her and the tour. Was great to skip the lines at all the venues. Highlight was the light show at St Nicholas church. To note - we did the tour on a Sunday so the Central Market was closed. Not a big deal cause we went back another day.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review, Pam! We're delighted that Catalina helped bring Valencia's history to life and made your experience so enjoyable. She'll be thrilled to hear your kind words. We hope to welcome you back to Valencia again soon!
Beautiful and informative tour! Each of the sites were spectacular. City center in Valencia is lovely. Guide was knowledgeable and answered everyone’s questions. It would have been helpful if the guide wore a speaker and we had headsets. At times it was difficult to hear what he was saying at when he turned to whatever we were viewing.
Thank you very much for your review! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the tour and that you found the sites and the city center of Valencia beautiful and informative. We also appreciate your comment regarding the sound. We understand that at busy monuments and outdoor settings, it can sometimes be difficult to hear clearly, and your suggestion about using a microphone and headsets is very helpful. We will take this into account as we continue working to improve the experience. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to welcome you on another tour in the future.
Well done. Our guide was very excellent and gave a great experience. We had a financial issue with our payment since there was a slight itinerary change that had to be resolved the day prior. The tour operator was prompt at taking care the issue with several last minute emails.
Thank you for your wonderful review, Peter! We're delighted you enjoyed the tour and had such a great experience with our guide. Thank you for your patience, and we hope to welcome you back to Valencia soon!
