This was an amazing morning!! Meeting place was so easy to find. Our guide was awesome and the art incredible! Visiting the museum with someone explaining the major paintings was pretty awesome. Walking the corridor was pretty cool too!
Ciao Tracy! Your title says it all - thank you! I'm so pleased everything got off to a smooth start, right from finding the meeting point. That first impression matters! The Uffizi is full of masterpieces, but hearing the stories behind them makes all the difference. And finishing the experience with a walk through the Vasari Corridor is a pretty special way to end the morning. Thank you for sharing your experience, and we hope to see you again in Florence! John
Our guide Debora Fiaschi made this trip well with the money! Her enthusiasm, explanations, and descriptions not only covered what were looking at but also putting the art into historical context as it evolved. I would have never gotten as much out of this gallery without a guide.
Grazie David!! This is exactly what a great museum tour should feel like. The Uffizi isn't just a collection of beautiful paintings - it's the story of Florence, the Renaissance, and the people who shaped it. I'm so pleased Debora helped connect all those pieces for you. I'll make sure she sees your review. Knowing she helped you get so much more out of the gallery than you would have on your own is a wonderful compliment. Thank you for choosing to explore the Uffizi with us, and for sharing your experience! John
It is a great tour of the Museum. There’s lots to see and take in, with so much history of Florence, and of art. Our tour guide Deborah was fantastic. She has a wealth of knowledge and was great at explaining the historical significance of all of the exhibits as we moved through the museum. And she was very nice and fun to learn from. She made the experience for us very accessible and interesting.
Grazie Gary! The Uffizi can feel overwhelming on your own, so hearing that Debora made it accessible, engaging, and easy to follow is a wonderful compliment. That's exactly what a great guide should do. I'll make sure she sees your review. I know she'll be especially happy to hear that she helped bring both the art and the history of Florence to life. Thank you for choosing to visit the Uffizi with us, and for sharing your experience! John
Camilla was EXCELLENT!! Even though we were exhausted, she made facts interesting and engaging. Highly recommend her! Thank you, Camilla! We would have ranked this a 5-star experience but the Vasari Corridor Guide was terrible. She didn’t speak up so many did not hear what she said. She seemed annoyed to be there. Also- the her co-workers didn’t respect our tour because their voices carried and drowned the guide out - we couldn’t hear her already but their background conversations made it impossible. Please let them know they can be better. Camilla… 5 stars! Vasari Corridor Guide- 0 stars
Thank you Elena for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. I'm absolutely delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your time with Camilla! She'll be thrilled to read your kind words. Keeping guests engaged, even after a full day of sightseeing, is no small feat, and I'm so glad she made the Uffizi come alive for you. I'm sorry to hear the Vasari Corridor portion didn't meet your expectations. As the Corridor is managed directly by the museum, the explanation inside is provided by their staff rather than by our guides. That said, we completely understand your frustration if it was difficult to hear or follow, and we appreciate you sharing your experience. Thank you again for your thoughtful review, and we'll be sure to pass your compliments on to Camilla! 🙏 John
The tour through the Uffiziens was excellent, as our guide was able to tell us a lot about the backgrounds, history, and representations of the paintings and sculptures. However, I was disappointed by the Vasari Corridor. While it was well made, it is more or less an empty corridor. For this price, I would have expected more.
Thank you for sharing your honest feedback Benjamin. I'm delighted to hear you enjoyed the Uffizi tour and that our guide helped bring the masterpieces to life through their history and artistic context. Regarding the Vasari Corridor, we completely understand that it isn't the same experience for everyone. Its value lies less in what is displayed inside today and more in the unique opportunity to walk through a passage built for the Medici family nearly 500 years ago - an experience that very few people had the chance to enjoy until its recent reopening. We're glad you had the opportunity to experience it for yourself, and we truly appreciate you sharing your perspective. Thank you again for your review 🙏 John
Well worth the money. Nice to have a guide explaining what we were seeing. Our guide Deborah was very knowledgeable and fun.
Hi Robert! Thank you - really happy you enjoyed the experience 😊 Debora has a wonderful way of combining deep knowledge with a fun and engaging style. And I completely agree - having the stories and context behind the artworks can transform a visit to the Uffizi. Thanks again for sharing and for the kind words 🙏 John
Camilla was fantastic Very knowledgeable and terrific at imparting that knowledge as we visited key paintings Also very good at navigating the people traffic and making space to get up close
Thank you Warren - Camilla will love hearing that. Sharing knowledge is one thing, but making it engaging and helping guests get close to the artworks in a busy Uffizi is a skill in itself. I'm glad the experience exceeded your expectations and that you were able to enjoy the masterpieces up close despite the crowds. Thanks again for sharing your experience 🙏 John
This was one of the best tours I’ve been on while I’ve been Italy. Our guide Debra was excellent, an obvious passion for art which was contagious. Highly recommend this tour!
Thank you Linda - this is a wonderful one to read 😊 Being described as one of the best tours of your trip to Italy is a huge compliment. Debora will be delighted to hear this. Her passion for art is absolutely genuine, and I'm so glad it helped make the experience memorable for you. Thank you as well for the recommendation 🙏 John
The guide was very knowledgeable and unfortunately due to crowds and a time line was a little rushed. Really cool to walk the corridor. Guide did a great job of explaining everything
Thank you for sharing your experience Kristine 😊 I'm glad you enjoyed both the Uffizi and the Vasari Corridor, and that the guide helped bring everything to life along the way. Your observation is fair - the Uffizi can be extremely busy, and the Corridor operates on strict timed entry slots, which can sometimes make the pace feel a little quicker than we'd ideally like. I'm happy to hear that, despite that, you found the explanations engaging and that the Corridor was a memorable experience. Thanks again for your feedback 🙏 John
