Description

Your 3 hour whale watching adventure begins when you board a coach bus that departs downtown Juneau from the Mt. Roberts Tram parking lot. A 25 minute journey through the picturesque landscape of Southeast Alaska will take you to Auke Bay Harbor. “All aboard!” and you’re off for Alaska waters and the ultimate whale watching experience. The star of the tour is the humpback whale, but we are always looking out for sea lions, bald eagles, or the playful orca. The whales are here to feed in our abundant Alaskan waters.  Our naturalist guides you on a 2 hour whale watching tour. With our experienced captains and Juneau being one of the best ports for whale watching in Alaska, this tour will be an unforgettable experience. A light snack and refreshments will be provided.

Whale watching with Noah, Emily and Capt Russell.

It was an awesome trip. Bill our driver to the dock was awesome. So friendly and informative. Capt Russell, Noah & Emily were fantastic as well. They were enthusiastic and friendly. They answered all our questions. We got to see humpbacks, ocras, and porpoises. I HIGHLY recommend them in Juneau. It was my two boys, 8 and 13, myself and a friend. It was an awesome experience!

We saw lots of whales and sea lions!

Amazing boat, great condition and clean. Great staff and tour guides. They gave us healthy snacks. They knew exactly where to take us to see the glacier and whales. We were lucky and saw lots of whales as well as sea lions!

Just do it

Great opportunity to get out on the water and see some whales. We really appreciated the smaller size of the boat (about 35-40 people) and the spiel from the guide - she showed us what we were looking to see using a whale model and passed around a baleen for us to touch.

Whale Watch

There is some travel involved with 30 minute ride to boat and another 30 minutes to whale site, but Cpt Jack and Parker did a good job of spotting and listening to other boats to find the whales.

An Unforgettable Whale Watching Day

What an awesome experience! Captain Conner found whales right away, and the views were incredible from the very start. Our crew, Haylee and Ammon, were fantastic, they shared great information about the whales, local wildlife, and the area. Haylee helped us identify the whales we saw, and Ammon kept an eye out for signs so we were always ready when they surfaced. On the way back, we stopped for a quick visit with some local sea lions relaxing on a buoy, and before wrapping up, we paused for a beautiful photo with the Mendenhall Glacier behind us from the water. The boat was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of viewing space for everyone. We will be back for sure!
