Two Sides of Cape Town Food Tour

Description
Awarded Silver at WTM Africa by the International Centre for Responsible Tourism for Cultural Diversity, this experience offers a unique perspective on Cape Town’s diverse food landscape. This 4-hour walking food tour explores both the formal and informal food economies of Cape Town’s city centre, offering insight into how food, entrepreneurship, and urban space intersect. Rather than a typical food tour, this experience focuses on the stories behind the food, highlighting small, independent businesses and the communities that shape the city’s culinary identity. Guests gain a deeper understanding of Cape Town through a balanced lens that connects culture, history, and everyday lived experience. Ideal for curious travellers seeking a more inclusive, non-extractive approach to tourism, this tour offers a meaningful introduction to the city beyond the surface.
