Guilty of decimating Pompeii and Herculaneum in AD 79, Mt Vesuvius looms over the Bay of Naples like a beautiful, silent menace. Stopped in their tracks by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in A.D. 79, Pompeii offers the best look anywhere at what life in Rome must have been like around 2,000 years ago. Learn how to make handmade pasta and enjoy a delicious lunch comfortably seated at a roof-top terrace overlooking the bay of Naples.

Great Day!

We had an amazing day with Antonino! Our trip was off season in February. He was our guide at Pompeii and shared an incredible amount of information with us and thoroughly answered all of our questions. We ended the day on the terrace of his personal residence overlooking the port of Naples making pasta with his wife. She was a great instructor (very patient) and a wonderful hostess. He made sure to take and send many pictures/videos. Thank you Antonino! (sorry I don’t know how to spell your wife’s name)

Excellent day!

Tony's van was immaculate, he drove smoothly, he had so much knowledge about the entire peninsula, it was a dream tour! Then the pasta making was so fun, easy, and delicious, it was a perfect way to end the day. Would absolutely recommend!

Wonderful and unique experience

My mother and I had a wonderful time with Antonino in and around Naples! We would have missed so much in Pompeii without him. Making pasta at his home was so wonderful and DELICIOUS. I’ve already recommended him to other friends!

Must do!

One of the highlights of our trips for sure! Antonino‘s knowledge of Pompeii was extraordinary. We weren’t able to do the hike up Mount Vesuvius due to it being closed but Antonino drove us as far as we could and took us to an amazing overlook. The homemade pasta class was so much fun and well and the resulting lunch was delicious. Highly recommend!

Amazing!!!

Absolutely amazing experience! Would highly highly recommend and private tour is the only way to go to truly experience these places and history. Tony was fantastic! Could not have hoped for any better of an experience or service.

Operator response

Thank you so much, Emily. Your endurance on such a hot day and interest in the volcano, Herculaneum and Pompeii was impressive. Your kindness, beyond every expectation. I wish you all the best.
