Fantastic experience from beginning to end! Juan made everyone feel welcomed and the food was delicious. He was very accommodating to dietary needs and wonderful host.
Spending the afternoon with Juan, cooking in his home was the highlight of my Madrid vacation with my sister. We had fun and learned a lot from him. We could wait to return to the market to buy spices he had recommended. We cannot wait to make Paella for our family in Canada.
This was a wonderful experience; non-tourist trap. starts with a trip to an incredible local market to get the ingredients. Preparation entirely from scratch in the host's home. Welcoming, casual atmosphere. The food was delicious, well above what you would find in even a good restaurant. If we ever return to Madrid, I want to repeat the experience.
