Abdo is a very friendly and open host. He introduced us to Moroccan cuisine. He explains everything very well and clearly. We had a lot of fun and had a very good experience with Abdo. We would definitely book him again!
Review: What a great afternoon! The cooks were not only great at their job, but also fantastic supervisors. We learned a lot about Morocco and its rich food culture, and everything was explained with such passion and pleasure. The food was delicious – every bite a discovery. The guidance made it extra special: friendly, clear and with an eye for everyone in the group. Even our adolescents enjoyed it, which is a great compliment for us. This was truly an experience we will not soon forget! --- Do you want me to make the review a little shorter and lighter (more in colloquial terms), or a little more comprehensive and informative so that it really feels like a guide for other travelers?
This culinary experience ended our trip with a tasty dinner with friendly and welcoming young Moroccans in a medina house. The activity is well conducted. During the cooking of the tagines, the break "Moroccan Tea" was enriching and pleasant. We had a great time.
We were warmly welcomed by Abdo Abdo was a patient, kind and knowledgeable host and walked us through the basics of cooking in a Tarjin and though some of the Moroccan cultures surrounding food and Tea. He was open to all questions and was refreshing to be around. We were unable to stay for the entire time however. As we booked less than 24 hours in advance we spoke on the day to the host regarding a peanut allergy. The refreshments included peanuts in different spices (not stated on advertising material) I asked for them to remain covered due to allergy but Abdo didn't seem to understand. Once the peanuts were opened my husband and I had to leave and therefore missed the second half of the expereince, including taking part in the meal. What we expereinced until the peanuts were brought out was excellent. I feel very disappointed he was unable to adjust the course to perhaps make the peanuts takeaway. In him not taking an allergy seriously we unfortunately missed half of the activity. . No mention of a partial refund was made.
We booked our workshop at the last moment, we were welcomed by Abdo who guided us in the realization of our meal and told us about traditions and customs. Thank you very much Abdo for this moment. Marie, Tristan and Aubin
Abdo was a fantastic teacher and super accommodating. We learnt lots about the cuisine and culture. Would recommend.
We had a great experience! Great recipes, great teacher, great vibes! Thank you. The tajin with meatballs and eggs was so good. Abdo was a very interesting and funny guide. Super hospitality
A great experience, not just the interesting cooking but also being able to ask questions about culture and Moroccan life. Abdul is very interesting and keen to talk about details as well as just tourist facts.
Our first cooking class experience was a real success! Our chef Abdoo, immediately nice and helpful, guided us with passion in the discovery of Moroccan cuisine and culture. Together we prepared several dishes, including the delicious Tajine, which we then enjoyed in company, spending a really pleasant evening. And it didn't end there: Abdoo kindly provided us with recipes to replicate these dishes at home, allowing us to bring a little Morocco into our kitchens as well.
Today I had cooking lessons from Abdo. In the medina we were welcome in a beautiful large kitchen, with a real Moroccan seating area. After preparing the starter, the two tajines and the dessert. Could the tajines on the fire and we could go into the sitting area to find out everything about a delicious tea. Abdo had everything prepared. Various teas, two types of sugar, jugs, glasses and traditional (nut) snacks were ready. A good explanation followed and a demonstration. Then we could enjoy it. It was delicious, while the tajines simmered. Then we could enjoy our home-cooked 3-course meal. In short: highly recommended!
