Tour Options
Itinerary
We will pick you up at your accommodation between Taormina and nearby towns.
A stop of about 1 hour to admire the last side flow of the volcano. Possibility of shopping in the various stores that are near the ski resort.
We will take you to a buttonhole of 5 side craters formed in 1865. A walk will take us to the top of these craters. Between the walk and explanations, the time we will take will be about 2 hours.
We will visit a lava flow tunnel equipped with a helmet and flashlight.
Arriving at the winery we will have about 2 hours to enjoy good wine and a typical lunch.
We will drive you back to your accommodation safely.

We had the best day with Luca! He was so knowledgeable and taught us so much while we explored Etna. The wine tasting was delicious and the perfect way to end the day! We highly recommend this tour!
Our guide Lucas was charming, informative and really interesting to listen to. We learnt so much about the volcano, its history, vegetation and geology, within a warm friendly group. We climbed up the lava flow to view craters and went down into a lava tube. Finally we had a wine tasting with very free flowing wine and a great lunch. A fantastic day - would highly recommend.

This tour beat expectations. The hike on the slopes of Etna was beautiful and informative - especially as we could hear the volcano erupting during the day (though no lava visible on the northern slopes). Our guide, Lucas, was knowledgeable and very personable, taking photos of all 3 couples at several scenic stops. The Gambino winery was also high quality - delicious wines and food, with generous pours and friendly service. Our tour was only 6 people in total. A great way to spend the day near Taormina.

Fantastic day out ! Our friendly Argentinian guide Lucas was very knowledgeable & made us all feel a part of his family. Plenty of photo opportunities on Etna. The Gambino Winery Sicilian lunch & tour were also extremely good & informative. Plenty of food and wine flowing. Would highly recommend this trip
