Itinerary
The tour of the soap museum, which is an old, restored 19th century building with high ceilings and original stonework, will let our visitors experience the beauty of the soap history in the traditional Mediterranean way. We will share our passion and knowledge about the history, science and technicalities of soap making, to everyone interested in learning more about this essential product, which started to be produced in 2800 B.C. This tour will let visitors see some old machines, two old presses and other agricultural tools, typical of South Western Sicily. In this tour is included a workshop with a preparation of a small soap that our visitors can customize with local ingredients, like fresh mediterranean herbs, or sicilian flowers or vegetable extracts of our own production.

Great little tour on an active olive farm about a 10 minute drive from Sciacca’s historic center. Alessandro is the owner/operator and was friendly, informative and passionate throughout the tour. Brief explanation of everything that goes into cultivating olives and agriculture in general out in the field and then a brief tour inside the soap museum that explained the history and differences of soap. Fun little add on for kids was to scent your own soap as a souvenir, which the kids got a kick out of. We went with two young kids and Alessandro was very welcoming and entertaining to them and it was a perfect short activity to do before going to the beach. Would recommend to friends.
Thank you so much for visiting us and for enjoying your time here!!
Great tour given in an easy to follow personable way. Fun and very interesting while giving a ton of information about agriculture, soap making, history and science and how they all fit together. Good exhibits at the museum.
Thank you so much for visiting us!!
Warm welcome, Alessandro is a top host, very competent in his matter and introduced us in an exciting and interesting way to the world of conventional soap production.
Our visit to the Soap Museum was nothing short of extraordinary! The highlight of our experience was making our own soap—a truly unique and memorable activity. We were thrilled to take our handmade soap home, allowing us to escape to Sicily even on the rainiest days in Belgium every time we wash our hands. The olive tour was another standout moment. We learned more in this visit than we did during an olive tour we had booked earlier that week. The museum's commitment to ecological farming is impressive and inspiring. Alessandro, our guide, brought the museum to life with his passion and enthusiasm. He truly made our visit special, sharing his knowledge with such joy and dedication. We wish him all the best, and may all his (gin) dreams come true! Grazie mille, Alessandro, per tutto!
Great experience! Alessandro is so passionate and entertaining. Very interesting process and histories. Definitely recommend!
Very interesting tour through the history of soap with a clear demonstration of how to make your own individual soap. Alessandro really impressed us.

Thank you for visiting us
A very original and nice place to visit, Alessandro guided us in this path of soap stories. I must say that we didn't expect much but in the end we were very satisfied and would recommend the public to visit it.
Grazie mille!
very interesting experience, for adults and children. We learned many things thanks to Alessandro, creator and manager of the museum. His ability to involve in the history of the place and traditions has accompanied us to the discovery of this simple product that we use every day.
Grazie mille!
Beautiful experience, Alessandro has the ability to make you relive the history of soap and excite you with his stories. The museum is situated in a wonderful landscape, among over ten varieties of olive trees all between the mountains and the sea. The price is symbolic considering Alessandro's presentation. I highly recommend it.
Grazie mille per avere visitato il museo e per avere apprezzato questo progetto. A presto!
