We did a 2-day Cairo tour, and overall the program was well organized. The lunch and dinner were excellent, and the itinerary covered the key highlights efficiently. Our guide was very efficient, and each day finished around 3–4 PM. Given how tired we were, this was actually helpful in some ways. That said, the pace often felt rushed, and it would have been nice to have a bit more time at certain sites and a more relaxed flow overall. After the tour ended, communication via WhatsApp was limited, which was disappointing. Overall, it was a good tour with strong logistics and great meals, but it could be improved with a more thoughtful pace and better follow-up communication.
Thank you for this honest and thoughtful review. We're glad the overall organization, meals, and itinerary met your expectations — those are areas we put a lot of effort into. We appreciate your candid feedback on the pacing. While we understand that finishing earlier worked in your favour given the tiredness, we recognize that a 2-day private tour should feel relaxed and unhurried, with plenty of time to soak in each site. We are taking your suggestion on board and working with our guides to ensure a more thoughtful pace that allows guests to fully enjoy every moment without feeling rushed. Regarding the post-tour communication, you make a valid point. Our relationship with our guests shouldn't end the moment the tour does. We are improving our follow-up processes to ensure that every guest feels supported and valued even after their tour is complete. Thank you for helping us identify where we can do better. We would love the opportunity to welcome you back to Egypt with a more relaxed, well-paced experience. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us at info@pyramidsland.com. Warm regards, Pyramids Land Tours Team
We booked and paid for a private tour that included the Pyramids of Giza, the Egyptian Museum and the Khan el-Khalili bazaar. The guide, Mimmo, picked us up at the hotel along with his driver Nader (who must be said, drives really well in Cairo traffic). Unfortunately, from then on the experience was a growing disappointment. We visited the Pyramids of Giza and the GEM (Grand Egyptian Museum), but here the first problem already arises: the GEM was made in place of the Old Egyptian Museum, which was included in the tour. To enter the GEM we had to pay the extra ticket, so a question arises: The money from the Egyptian Museum tickets we had already paid for, what happened to them? But the worst came later. Instead of the Khan el-Khalili bazaar, Mimmo told us that it is “only full of stuff made in China” and that he would take us to discover the true authentic Egyptian culture. Too bad that this “authentic culture” turned out to be a parade of affiliated shops: perfumes, papyrus, spices, jewelry... all with inflated prices and clearly designed for tourists. This tour, which was supposed to be a cultural experience, turned into a sequence of marches. Mimmo used the time — which we had paid for — to take us to “friendly” stores for the sole purpose of taking his percentage. More than local experience: it was a forced shopping tour disguised as a tour. The problem is not only commercial, it is ethical. We were literally exploited as walking wallets. The time devoted to real visits (pyramids, museum, city) has been reduced to make room for its sponsorships. Result: hurried visits, wasted time and a tour that didn't keep to schedule or what we paid for. Unacceptable for a private tour. Mimmo did not act as a guide, but as a marcher. Absolutely not recommended. Make these guides stick to the planned and agreed planning; if you are looking for a real cultural tour and not a disguised shopping tour, choose someone else.
Cordiali saluti, Pyramids Land Tours Team
The guide Mimmo super professional experience.... very nice made us passionate even more. Too good recommend it 100x100
A truly positive experience led by Mimmo with an excellent Italian and a competence combined with a real passion for his work! Thanks ache to Ashraf friendly and punctual driver! Highly recommended
Great experience! We mimmo a very courteous guide, very competent and speaking excellent Italian. Amer friendly and very polite driver. I was also very pleased with the camel ride to see the pyramids from another perspective. Super
At the time of booking, I was honestly a bit overwhelmed knowing the tour was going to be 8 hours long—especially since history has never really been my thing. But with Mimo, time simply flew by. He has a wonderful way of simplifying everything while making the experience incredibly fun, engaging, and memorable. Mimo made the pyramids come alive with his insights and ensured we covered all the important highlights at the Grand Egyptian Museum without it ever feeling rushed or heavy. What truly stood out was how every small request I made was accommodated so thoughtfully by both Mimo and our driver, Amr. They are a perfect team—kind, warm, and genuinely caring. They also stopped for lunch at a local spot where we got to try Egypt’s national dish, Koshari, along with delicious rice pudding, and we absolutely loved it—such a lovely, authentic touch to the day. And a special mention for Mimo’s photography skills—he captured the most amazing shots of us throughout the day, which was such a bonus! I would wholeheartedly recommend Mimo and Amr to anyone visiting Cairo. This was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish.
The mimmo ride was amazing. Mimmo's on top. He took us with competence and passion around the cairo. If possibike we will return
Mr Mimmo, top most fantastic gentlemen and awesome guide. His knowledge towards each stone laid and how ancestors built is lovely. Feels good to hear from him MY COUNTRY everytime when he says to emphasis something . We have great experience, would always recommend our network to connect for best companion.
It was such a wonderful tour! They took the traffic into account to speed up the meeting time, so we could see the pyramids when there were few people! They also understood English easily and tried to use the translator to deepen their understanding! They were very resourceful in responding to our requests and we had a great day! If you're visiting Egypt, be sure to use it!!
It was one of the most satisfying tours I’ve ever been on in Egypt! Our tour guide, MIMO, was very kind to us while using the translation app. They were flexible enough to accommodate our requests, and we really enjoyed the pyramids, the Grand Egyptian Museum, and lunch. If you want to fully enjoy Giza, I highly recommend this tour♪
