The tour is bilingual. Includes only bus ride to Toledo and walking through main streets with guide. I didn’t find the experience very interesting . Takes twice as long to see anything because guide must translate in 2 languages. Very hard to hear guide even with audio headset. No cathedral tour or ticket included. I really liked Toledo. It is a beautiful walled city. I think if you are interested in history or architecture pick another tour. This is really a bus ride with an escort.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the tour did not fully meet your expectations. We would like to clarify a few points for future travelers. The tour is clearly advertised as bilingual, so explanations are provided in two languages to accommodate an international group. Likewise, the itinerary specifies exactly what is included and what is not, including visits and entrance tickets. While we understand that some visitors may prefer a more in-depth historical or architectural experience, this tour is designed as an introductory overview of Toledo, combining transportation, guided orientation, and a walk through the city's most important areas. Many guests appreciate having free time to explore the city at their own pace after the guided portion. Regarding the audio system, we appreciate your comments and will take them into consideration as we continue to improve our services. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed Toledo itself. Its rich history, architecture, and unique atmosphere are precisely what make it such a special destination for so many visitors. Kind regards
It's called "Guided Tour to Toledo from Madrid." Includes "tour of Toledo", "expert guide", "private transport". "Private transport" is a bus. Arriving in Toledo, the "Expert Guide" took us around the city in the bus, talking into his microphone... which was not plugged in, the driver not feeling concerned. Then the bus went to a weapons factory (for tourists), the aim being to sell: well an hour wasted. The guide speaks only Spanish and English, and given the forty people on the tour, we preferred to visit the city at our own pace. All this to say: rather take a train or bus for the round trip, look for a Francophone guide if necessary. No point in taking this kind of benefit.
Well organized, Toledo is a beautiful place, the guide gave us a good tour. We met expectations.
The trip was very pleasant overall and the guides very good and friendly. However, the bus was uncomfortable, with the seats very glued to each other and with very little legroom, and I am small.
We left on time. I complained the bus was extremely dirty outside to the point we couldn’t see outside the windows, they cleaned on the break and I appreciated the correction. The guy distributing the guests in each bus was unnecessary rude, he was Javier. The driver never talked to us, it was weird but was ok, we slept on our way there. When we got there we met our guide, was also Javier, very nice, made it fun and knows a lot of the culture and history, perfectly English and Spanish. We stopped at this artesanal jewelry.. not my thing, but was interesting and some guests bought souvenirs. The whole Toledo experience was a great day, we continued with Javier, we broke into smaller groups, we had enough time to walk around and we visited the cathedral and bought the additional ticket, wish was an option to add it with the trip because we didn’t had a tour and was trying to find our way inside the church. Lots of options for food, souvenirs and picture opportunities. Ride back was on time smooth ride.
Nothing, I have gone on other excursions and the truth was much more fun and fun than this one to Toledo.
I put two stars and not just one because the explanation of the guide and his being friendly with us was pleasant, beautiful also the city and the visit to the goldsmith shop. Too bad I got to the meeting point 15 minutes early and didn't see anyone. Assuming that I got the exact spot wrong by a few meters, no one was interested or noticed that the number of participants was not complete. I had to take a bus at my own expense back to Madrid and when the next day I personally went to complain to the tour operator, they simply said "I'm sorry, but everyone found it." At the very least, discomfort aside, they would have had to reimburse me for the return bus that I was forced to take after paying for a tour that also included the return.
We booked this day trip 3 days before as we had managed to see everything in Madrid, so this was the perfect addition to our trip. It was well organised and affordable. The damascene workshop was a unique experience, especially to see them work on the jewellery pieces. However, we were not given an exact time to return to the bus, so unless you actually wanted to buy something, you end up having to wait a while for all the group to get back. The tour guide gave us a lot of info which was very interesting while we were driving around. The walking tour was very informative and then we had 4 hours of free time in Toledo where we had time to eat, sightsee more at our own pace and grab some drinks. I would recommend it as it is less hassle to go for this day tour rather than get there yourself.
Honestly, the travel and information given in the bus was ok. However once we started walking around I noticed that we made very few stops and the guide seemed in a hurry to finish up. I had taken a tour a couple of years ago with the same agency and loved it, that is why I wanted to repeat the experience with my husband. But I felt like that it wasn't the same. Their punctuality for pick up and the office job, was very good. Super confi buses and the driver makes you feel secure on the road.
The tour guide on the bus didn’t speak English well. The time spent in the workshop could be shorter.
Dear Oksana, Thank you for your feedback. It will help us to keep improving. Of course, we'll conduct an investigation to see what might have happened, since what you're telling us doesn't meet our quality standards. Best regards.
