We booked an experience to see Stone Henge on the way to the Heathrow airport but because Stone Henge would not open until 9:30am and we needed to leave before 10am to get to the airport, we ended up modifying the travel to be a direct airport transfer with a brief stop at a rest area to get snacks and breakfast. We got to the airport early and hoped that there would be a reduction in the fee since we weren’t traveling out of the way to Stone henge and it was a much shorter “tour’ but were informed after the fact that there would be no reduction in the quoted rate a few hours after the tour was completed. Driver was nice and helpful but I was very disappointed about the rate we paid especially for 5 adults and 2 children.
Driver was prompt and vehicle was comfortable. We had an enjoyable visit to Stonehenge on our way to the airport.
If you have a later flight the day your cruise gets into Southampton, this is definitely one of the tours you want to take. You really only need 2 1/2 to 3 hours at Stonehenge.
