Go on a “Vanilla” excursion to discover Taha’a Island, on board Blue Lagoon, a modern and comfortable canoe, for a day combining marine adventure and cultural discoveries. Visit a family pearl farm, a traditional vanilla grove and, on request, the Pari Pari rum factory, to discover the iconic know-how of Vanilla Island. Then enjoy exceptional snorkeling at the Coral Garden, one of the most beautiful sites in Taha’a, with stunning views of Bora Bora. Lunch is served on a private motu, followed by free time for swimming, snorkelling or just relaxing. The day often ends with a second session of snorkeling, sometimes with blacktip sharks in shallow water (depending on the conditions). On board, relax on the large trampoline above the lagoon and in the lounge areas, designed for comfort and conviviality.

Just a fabulous day with our skipper and guide, Jimmy. Our cruise ship docked in Raiatea. The tour boat met us at the pier just a 5 minute walk away. The boat is well designed with easy entry from docks at the side of the vessel or from the stern down a ladder into the water. Seating was cushioned and comfortable. The young people on the tour lounged on the outrigger trampoline. We did six things: 1. Visit to a pearl farm where we got a great explanation of how Tahitian pearls are created. Beautiful jewelry was available for purchase, but no pressure to do so 2. Drift snorkel at the coral garden. We anchored on the inside, walked along the shore to the channel entrance, then drift snorkelled back through the channel. No fins needed or even desired. Just water shoes for the shore walk. The channel is zigzagged, so following your guide is important. Good coral, colourful fish including a lion fish, colourful clams. A wonderful snorkel experience. 3. A rum distillery tour. A good informative tour. Interesting, and neither of us are rum drinkers. 4. A second snorkel stop. Highlight was many reef sharks. 5. Lunch on a motu with very generous portions of local cuisine in an idyllic setting. 6. Tour of a vanilla farm. Very detailed and interesting explanation of the 4 years it takes to grow a vanilla bean. Vanilla beans and products for sale, again with no pressure to do so. So, a full day, but relaxed and never a feeling at any stop of being rushed. A great tour. Back to the dock in plenty of time to board our ship. Hats off to Jimmy.

Snorkeling between the motus: letting yourself be carried by the current like Jimmy and enjoying the coral garden and its dozens of fish species 🤩 literally diving among the sharks: a crazy experience!
We toured Raiatea and Tahaa, we spent 2 incredible days! The boat is extremely well equipped, there is everything you need on board and Jimmy is an exceptional guide who takes great care of everyone! Thank you for these 2 days that make for wonderful memories of my stay here :)
A stroll in a paradise-like environment with an experienced and welcoming captain. Tour of the best things to see and do in Tahaa and Raiatea; we saw schools of sharks and schools of dolphins, tasted exquisite vanilla, drank delicious rum, and swam in crystal-clear water. Do not hesitate to take the excursion; it is well worth it.
I recommend the excursion with Raiatea Blue Lagoon 100%! Everything was absolutely perfect for me from start to finish. From the moment I boarded, I was immersed in a warm and very friendly atmosphere. The team is wonderful and takes the time to provide clear explanations about the day's schedule, which I found very pleasant and reassuring. The spots visited, whether for the tour of Raiatea or Tahaa, are breathtakingly beautiful. The onboard service is impeccable: I loved tasting the delicious fresh fruits and juice during the boat trips. As for lunch, it was a delight! A big thank you for providing an excellent vegetarian option; it is a consideration that I particularly appreciated. If you are looking for an authentic, well-organized, and friendly excursion to discover these beautiful islands, go for it!!!

This was such an excellent tour. We went on 3 different but similar tours while in FP. What we loved about this one was the small group, the tours to the pearl farm, rum distillery, and vanilla farm. They were all very interesting. The snorkeling is a given...so beautiful in all of FP. But Jimmy is the star of the show. His love for nature without spoil was endearing and appreciated. No silly fluff. We did that on another tour and it is fun once but we really enjoyed the relaxed nature of the trip. We cruised around the island of Tahaa (in a very comfortable boat!) and even stopped for the best traditional buffet we had on any of our tours. Thank you for a perfect day Jimmy. 🌸
