A big stone lion

Another example of awesome ancient engineering. The size and detail are really impressive especially as it was all carved by hand. The story of the surrounding temple area was very interesting and puts everything into perspective. There are the usual lucky lucky men around the site trying to flog old cheap tat but they didn't seem to be as invasive as they are at the pyramids. If you're going to the pyramids then you have to go to the Sphinx as well, better done with a guide who can bring history to life

The Sphinx… very grand statue, carved out of a mountain. A true sight to behold. A must see if you are in Egypt. A really enjoyed the visit as it was one of the main highlights of my trip to Egypt.

fantastically tour made Awesome by a Superb tour guide

Punctual, well mannered, knowledgeable and extremely friendly were but a few tributes displayed by both the tour guide and the driver who knew their way around drove very safely, were always ready to open the doors for us and ensure that we were well taken care of and had sufficient refreshments. They displayed tremendous knowledge and were able to engage in intellectual conversations as well as being light hearted and funny. We highly recommend this tour to anyone and sincerely hope that you have as much fun and enjoyment as we did with this professional and client satisfaction orientated company. Thank you for a most entertaining day and we look forward to seeing you again

Visit with the Pyramids

It is worth visiting with a guide, so as not to lose the whole story. Or research and study the subject before the visit.

Napoleon did not do it!

I have always believed that Napoleon shot the nose off the Sphinx with a canon-ball, not so according to our guide, it was simple erosion and weather over thousands of years. Another must see great Egyptian sight, and still under restoration. Progress is slow in Egypt. It is huge, 20m high and 57m long, especially evident when you are standing behind it looking towards the head. It must have been majestic when first built Must see, goes without saying.
