The Royal Albert Hall Tour

Description
Did you know that the Royal Albert Hall once hosted a séance; flooded the auditorium with 56,000 litres of water for an opera concert; and that criminals, as well as musicians and politicians, have graced the Hall’s stage? You can uncover more stories like this, as well as ask your own questions, on a Royal Albert Hall Tour. Together with a friendly guide, you’ll take a peek at the royal areas, see the breathtaking auditorium, and glimpse the stage where the world’s stars have appeared – from Arctic Monkeys to Muhammad Ali, BBC Proms to Beyoncé, Cirque du Soleil to Winston Churchill, and Albert Einstein to Ed Sheeran. You’ll discover how the building was funded, the royal love story that nearly stopped it from being built, and how we solved one of the UK’s most enduring engineering challenges – the Royal Albert Hall echo! You might even be lucky enough to hear a legendary artist in soundcheck!

our guard was very informative, friendly, helpful, and charismatic! We enjoyed worrying about the halls history.
Awesome experience learning about the history of the royal albert hall. I genuinely loved every minute of it. All the questions we asked (as well as other people in our group) was answered. The wealth of knowledge our tour guide has was extremely impressive. You might even get lucky and get to hear a soundcheck for a concert later that evening like we did!
Visited London several times but haven't been inside the Royal Albert Hall, unfortunately there was nothing on during our visit that suited our tastes so we settled for the tour. What a great idea that was! The tour guide was interesting and shared many stories with us. There was a rock band undertaking a sound check for their show that night during our tour which meant we could get an idea of the acoustics. Highly recommend the tour.
We visited the Royal Albert Hall last week for a live orchestral performance, and it was hands-down one of the highlights of our family trip to London. From the moment you walk up to the stunning red-brick exterior, you know you are somewhere incredibly special. Stepping inside the main auditorium completely took our breath away. The sheer scale of the hall, the beautiful tiers of red and gold seating, and the unique mushroom-shaped acoustic panels on the ceiling create an atmosphere that photos just cannot do justice. What really stood out to us was how family-friendly the experience felt despite the grandeur of the venue. The front-of-house staff and stewards were exceptionally polite, welcoming, and patient, helping us guide the kids to our seats with zero fuss. The acoustics were absolutely flawless—the sound completely wraps around you, making every single note clear no matter where you sit. The kids were mesmerized the entire evening. It’s an iconic piece of history, but it feels so alive and vibrant. If you are visiting London with family, do yourself a favor and book a show here. It’s a world-class experience that we will be talking about for years to come!
Went to the Symphony Rock concert last…9th June 2026 Went to the Symphony Rock concert last night that was brilliant. Sadly, the experience for us and quite a few others when chatting at the bar and outside is the extortionate rip off prices for wine. For a pint of beer and a large glass of wine £31.50, 2 large glasses of wine £35.50. We have paid "London prices" before but this is totally unnecessary and greed, in future we wont bother, local establishments will get our custom. Two ladies we found out after were charged £42 for 2 medium glasses of the same wine which may have been an error as it looks ass though they were charged for 2 large. Shame this dampened what was a great event.
The tour was very interesting and our guide was brilliant. The history of the Albert Hall was delivered with passion and the whole group seemed to have enjoyed it as we all broke out with a unanimous applause. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.
My son wanted to go on this hour tour but we both had the best time. Learning about RAH, all the performers over the years, being able to see the Royal Box, and their sitting room. Our guide was so knowledgeable about everything RAH. It was a small group (7 of us) so we were able to ask as many questions as we wanted. We can't wait to actually see a show there.
