Discover the Bella Época Cultural Centre, located in the Condesa neighbourhood. A hidden gem for many people. This cultural space was remodelled by one of the most influential architects in our country. It includes the Rosario Castellanos Bookshop, one of the largest in Latin America with more than 35,000 titles, as well as the Lido Cinema and the Luis Cardoza y Aragón Gallery, an important venue for the promotion of culture and for critical discussion and dialogue on various artistic disciplines, including cinema.

We will walk along one of the most famous avenues in Condesa, Avenida Ámsterdam. It is home to incredible shops, cafés, restaurants, art galleries, iconic architecture and many hidden gems in an incredibly green area full of trees and life. You will soon realise why it is one of the most sought-after areas in the city and you will discover why this place is called Condesa. We will take you to one of our favourite cafés and art galleries, a surprise for music lovers.

Here we can breathe in a healthy, family-friendly atmosphere where locals and tourists alike enjoy coming to stroll and enjoy nature in the middle of the city.

Welcome to South Rome. We will begin our tour at a market that pays tribute to Latin American countries, the Medellín Market. Here we can find products from countries such as Colombia, Cuba, and Venezuela, as well as traditional Mexican sweets, seasonal fruits, huaraches, and handicrafts.

25 min

We will take you to one of our favourite places in Roma, a space in the city that has been rescued by environmentalists and converted into an urban garden and green lung. With projects focusing on ecology, environmental education, permaculture, bio-architecture, agriculture, sustainability and the knowledge of indigenous peoples. A true green gem in Roma.

15 min

We will pass by one of the most emblematic buildings in early 20th-century Rome. A former market converted into an incredible hotel with designer shops, restaurants, taquerías, home of the famous tacos del Valle, and Café de nadie, one of North America's most renowned bars for its intellectual atmosphere

Laila the guide is incredible 😎😍

Laila offers an excellent tour of Roma/Condesa and is a charming person! The night before, Laila checked in and welcomed us to Mexico City. She was very kind asking about our language preference. Some of us in the group are practicing Spanish, so she alternated between both languages, which was great. She was also very patient and went at the speed/pace we needed, since we had two children and my elderly mother-in-law. She stopped when we needed to. She provided great historical knowledge of the neighborhood. Because we had children, she planned to stop at the park and we had a pleasant walk. She also stopped at both popular spots and hidden gems. We stopped for a cinnamon treat (included in the tour) and it was nice to sit and chat and learn about the history of the churro. She was so flexible and able to pivot without stress. Our daughter was scratched by a cat at the hidden gems and she was able to ask for immediate help to disinfect the cut. Everything was fine. When we finished, she provided a detailed list of recommendations for restaurants, cafes, markets, etc. She offered other useful tips while traveling in CDMX. We also needed vegan options and she took the time to write a list for us. It was an incredible experience with an incredible person.

Wonders of Roma

This was a wonderful experience. Walking through the areas of Roma Norte, Roma Sur, Romina and Condesa was amazing. My guide David was on time, friendly, and knowledgeable. I felt like I was exploring the area with a friend. I learned quite a bit about Roma’s history, architecture and vocabulary. I definitely recommend this experience. Bring your best walking shoes!

Great Day With Laila!!

Wow - such a fun day with Laila - simply the most fun and best host we could hope for!! We ended up doing a walking and food tour with her and had an absolute blast! So knowledgeable and a joy to be with! She took us to all kinds of great spots that we would have never stopped at without her knowledge - ate a ton of great food and had great drinks as well . . . would highly recommend!!

A Great Way to Experience Roma & Condesa

This was a highlight of our time in Mexico City. We did it as a family with our nine-year-old daughter, and it struck a great balance—interesting, relaxed, and never felt forced. Jorge was an excellent guide. Easygoing, knowledgeable, and clearly knows these neighborhoods well. It didn’t feel like a scripted tour, more like being shown around by someone who actually spends time there and knows where to go. Roma and Condesa are beautiful, but what made the experience was how Jorge layered in the smaller details—side streets, local spots, and context you wouldn’t pick up on your own. We stopped at a café along the way and later for churros, which were both great and felt like natural parts of the walk, not “tour stops.” Overall, it felt personal and well-paced, and it worked really well with a child. We saw a lot, but never felt rushed. Would absolutely recommend, especially if you want a more grounded introduction to these neighborhoods rather than just wandering them on your own.

Book this Day 1 of your trip!

This was an amazing way to start our trip to Mexico City! Jorge took us on a peaceful and exciting walk through Condesa and Roma Norte. He taught us history on the way and adjusted to find things our kids would like too! We stopped for great coffee, snacks and souvenirs along the way and Jorge pointed out good restaurants for us to come back to. Amazing job we loved every minute!!
