The Church of San Nicolò stands on one of the highest points of Savoca and seems to dominate the surrounding area unchallenged. It is exactly in its churchyard that some scenes of the film The Godfather by Francis Ford Coppola were filmed (those of the marriage between Michael Corleone and Apollonia) can only be visited externally

The tour was great as i am a big GodFather fan. But Isabella Catalano the tour guide made the tour- she knew her facts and made the tour fun and lively. You can’t get a better tour guide. Professional, friendly, and knowledgable - the whole package. Thanks Isabella you made it happen.
Dear customers, Thank you very much for your kind words. We know that evaluating a tour involves many factors, and perhaps one of the most important is the empathy, knowledge, and dedication our guides bring to their work. We have already shared your kind words with Isabella, and we thank you sincerely. Thank you again, and we hope to see you soon on our tours. Greis Sicily Excursions Team
Experience was amazing, for€50 and 5hours long that was a real bargain, Simone was brilliant, and the guy behind the wheel was amazingly skilful

The Godfather tour was very enjoyable, Isobella was such a great tour guide, she was very knowledgeable and friendly. We booked our tickets last minute with Sicily Excursions they were extremely helpful and managed to get myself and my friend on the trip at last minute notice. The tour is very enjoyable and exciting I highly recommend.
We had a great time visiting the two towns and learning about them! Isabella was an amazing guide and we loved getting to know her! She was informative, funny, answered lots of questions in multiple languages and made it a great time!
Exciting tour and dedicated guide Isabella to famous locations from The Godfather. Recommended for fans of the trilogy. Visited Savoca and Forza d’Agro. The latter was undoubtedly the best to visit with, among other things, a pleasant welcome at the city's pizzeria (which is also included in part 3).
Really enjoyed the insights given into where the filming took place. Beautiful scenery and great guide, plus skillful driver of coach on twisty roads!
Bar Vitelli rip off for tourists. Not tour fault.
We enjoyed the Godfather tour especially as it's one of our favourite films. The scenery was stunning! Savoca was the first stop where the church where Michael got married is. Unfortunately work is being done outside so scaffolding spoilt the photos. We went to bar vitelli where Michael asked Apollonia's father if he could marry her. You can't just walk in and take pictures. You have to get a table and buy drinks or food! The prices are ridiculous! €7.50 for a small soft drink and the staff were so unfriendly. We then went to Forza D'agro where you can see the church which featured in the films. What a lovely place although the drive up is a bit scary and if you don't like heights or get travel sick this probably isn't the tour for you. Remember to wear comfy shoes it's hilly! A hat too as it was very hot! Our tour guide Andrea was great! So funny and gave us lots of interesting facts we didn't know.
It was excellent and very informative. Thanks to the guide Andrea it was really nice. I recommend this tour ❤️
Great tour with Andrea Bar Vitelli looks different as its covered in Foliage and is very expensive! Great tour with Andrea, a great guide, informative and funny, we had a great time. You visit the Bar Vitelli and the Church where Michael and Apollonia get married and also move on to the town with another Church which is in all 3 films. Great views across Sicily too and a big shout out to Sebastani the driver who handled those roads very well. Well done 👏
