The Amarone Chateau guided tour and tasting in Valpolicella

Description
An immersive wine and art experience in the unique Amarone Venetian Villa and Chateau built between the 1500 and 1700’s at the center of Valpolicella’s history. You will taste the award-winning wines of brothers Giovanni and Guglielmo Bertani, whose family is among the founders of the wine region. Your guide will take you through the splendid neoclassical architecture, frescoed rooms, romantic gardens and the ancient vineyards of the Clos. The visit will continue on to the natural grape drying rooms, the original vinification area of the Amarone Classico Riserva, and down to the monumental ageing cellars with barrels that are over two hundred years old. The visit itself was very well done, an interesting guide showed us the house, gardens and wine making aspects (fermentation aging in barrels etc.) This was followed by wine tasting. Only negative was getting back to Verona. Difficult to get a Taxi but the staff took us to a bus station from where we were able to get a bus back to centre of Verona. They should ensure that transport could either be included or was easily available when tours finished
Everything went smooth, Good guide!
Tour of winery including wine tasting of six flights.
Very knowledgeable. Spoke English well. Not in a hurry. Very interesting. Beautiful grounds. Enjoyed
Easy to get to from Verona via bus, a short walk from the bus stop. Sofia was a great tour guide and wine tasting expert, she answered all of our questions and was a great host! I don't usually like white wine, but the one we tried was fantastic
We had some torrential weather which may have influenced how much tour happened but it was a great tour of the wine cellars and the tasting was informative and generous measures. We did get to see in the villa but only the one room so if you are looking to book then book for the wine and the villa is an extra. But the wine tasting itself was brilliant and thoroughly enjoyed.
We arrived late because the address given on the site is incorrect.
Overall, a very positive experience. The villa is truly spectacular and the wines are of high quality. However, I expected to visit much more than just the representative hall and the cellar. I also expected more than just 2 simple breadsticks to accompany the tasting.
The winery is beautiful as are the gardens. Lovely professional presentation of the wines and a great tasting!
The Winery Tour & Tastings were exceptional! Our guide was 5 stars out of 5! I was a bit disappointed in us not touring the mansion/ estate. Also, I collect postcards, and there were none for sale.
