Our tour guide was very informative and nice. He had a lot of niche knowledge and he was a great communicator!
The rv was set at 9am, we waited until 11.30am! For nothing. Nobody came to get us. A shame! What more can I say?
Timing of stops not as described. Guide managed time poorly For example, Plaza stop cut short, lengthy shopping stop at tourist trap I think guide was knowledgeable, but we felt shortchanged at how little information he provided. Left us alone after an hour at pyramid with no suggestions. Because he had to speak Spanish and English, each group wasted half the time waiting for the other. He answered questions in the same language, never translated. Lunch was much too late after 2:30 pm; we were 50 meters from the restaurant at noon. We were disappointed at how little we learned. Driver &wife fondled/kissed while he drove; unsafe. Drop off was VERY slow; we spent 20 minutes just driving around Alameda Central. Our stop was still far away at 6:30 pm, so we gave up, got out, and made our own way home, which wasn't what we paid for/planned. We chose this trip for the itinerary/schedule and pickup/dropoff, so we're very disappointed that neither was followed.
Very informative full day 9-5 tour of pyramids and Basilica. Wear comfortable shoes. Highly recommend for someone interested in it’s history.
I met for the tour two days early, giving my phone and email as contact. Today no one came to pick me up at the hotel and after contacting the tour operator they only wrote to me that due to a marathon you could not make the excursion and I was going to get my money back. I find it unacceptable, a tour operator cannot be surprised by a public event, they cannot sell tours for this day or at least give advance notice that it was going to be cancelled. I had to call to find out! The refund of the amount is worth little, who will compensate me for my one Sunday off and now lost in Mexico? Tremendous lack of professionalism!!!
We were told that the tour started at 9 and at 8 a.m. they wrote that they would pick us up at 8.20 a.m. Very short notice, although the excursion very well
Hola!
Raoul was a very good driver and Miriam was a nice guide. I didn’t really like the first stop, one of the employee of the store was a bit rude and didn’t explain much. Other than that the visit and restaurant were great! Be carefull at the buffet, they overcharged me 30 pesos (and others guests) and I had to confront them. I recommend this tour, especially for solo travellers:)
The guide Miguel had in depth knowledge of the sites we visited. He spoke French as well as English and Spanish. That was good because there was a French speaking family on our tour. The sites were interesting. The demonstrations of traditional skills were impressive and fascinating. There were opportunities to purchase arts and crafts at each venue. At one stop we were treated to a tequila tasting. I hate tequila but this stuff was delicious. The restaurant where we had lunch after exploring the pyramids was outstanding. There were clean rest rooms at each stop. My only gripe was the length of the tour. It was a long tiring day. I would have been happy to skip the basilica and get back to the hotel.
Overall it was a very good experience. Our tour guide Miguel had a lot of knowledge and shared it with us. The reason I gave 4 stars was because he did not like questions while he was explaining things (he felt they were interruptions) which is what a lot of tour guides like and are willing to answer. It would have been good if he would have mentioned this before the actual tour and explanations started so it does not come across as rude.
The driver and drive were great, but it did move somewhat too slow. In 2024 we can literally learn anything we need know in so many ways. Under the sun long talks I feel can be shorten a bit.
