After picking you up from you preferred location we travel through the coastal road of the Athenian Riviera. You will pass through beautiful landscapes, beaches and marinas.
Lake Vouliagmeni ("Sunken Lake") is an environmental gem- lake fed by underground currents seeping through the mass of Mount Hymettus located to the south of Vouliagmeni, Greece. The surrounding rocks and the green-turquoise water makes it an amazing lanscape. We stop for quick photos with the lake in the background.
After traveling for a few kilometres through the South Coast and the Athenian Riviera, you will be bedazzled by the famous landscapes which surround Sounion. Sounion (or Sunium) was an important ancient Greek religious sanctuary dedicated to the gods Poseidon and Athena. Spectacularly located on a promontory in southern Attica, the site is dominated by the temple of Poseidon perched 70 meters above the sea on the cliff edge. Sounion is the setting for several episodes in Greek mythology, and is specifically mentioned as a place of religious significance in Homer’s Odyssey. In some myths, this is also the spot where the Athenian king Aegeus threw himself into the sea in despair upon having sighted the black sail of his son Theseus’ ship returning from Crete after his battle with the Minotaur.
The ancient Greek temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion, built during 444–440 BC, is one of the major monuments of the Golden Age of Athens. A Doric temple, it overlooks the sea at the end of Cape Sounion, at a height of almost 60 metres (200 ft).
After walking around the Cape Sounion and admiring the Temple of Poseidon you will enjoy one of the most magnificent sunsets of your lifetime.

A perfect getaway from the center! We booked this as a private tour, and it exceeded our expectations. We had an amazing experience! The vehicle was a comfortable white Mercedes with air conditioning, making the journey very enjoyable. Our driver was excellent and even offered us a complimentary beer at the Temple, which was a lovely surprise. The audio guide was also very informative and enhanced the experience. The only suggestion for improvement would be to include a beach stop in the itinerary or let guests know in advance if one is available. Other than that, everything was perfect. Thank you very much! We would happily recommend this tour.

The driver never showed up, and when we contacted the company, they could not find our reservation even under the reservation number provided. This was supposed to be a private tour for four, and ended up being a cruddy tour on a bus with 50 other people where the four of us could not even sit together. Very frustrating. Company barely refunded any money. Terrible experience
Excellent service and very nice attention
Absolutely scammy operator. They sent a beaten up little Skoda Octavia yellow cab with prominent smoke stains and clearly a local cab driver, and mentioned that the promised private minivan was broken. When Viator contacted them, they mentioned that they sent a "limo" car. Avoid this tour at all costs.
Easy to book on the website. Several pick-up points in Athens. Everything was perfectly organized, no problems boarding the bus. We took the excursion to Cape Sounion and also to the Peloponnese. The guides were professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly. Highly recommended at a very competitive price.
Costas was an excellent guide. The trip along the Aegean Riviera was wonderful. Sunset at the Temple of Poseidon was amazing.
Very professional driver, Vassilis, arrived on time, drove very well, we stopped at Stavros Niarchos roof top park, lake vouliagmeni, a scenic viewpoint and finally cape Sounion. He gave us tips on how to get around and was there at the entrance when we were ready to leave. Tip- the gates close 20 minutes before sunset- we almost missed going up because we sat down at the cafe for snacks and drinks.
Lovely experience to watch the sun set around the Temple of Poseidon. Great driver! Shame the Lake was not open so missed the falls, but lovely evening never the less.
