Table Mountain Hike via Kasteels Poort Trail

Description
Our hiking groups are small and limited to a maximum of 6 persons to ensure a personal experience with greater opportunity to engage and interact with your tour guide. Hike Table Mountain, one of the most recognizable mountains in the world and one of the New Seven Natural Wonders, and experience the unique flora found only in the southwestern Cape, commonly known as fynbos—the smallest and richest of the six floral kingdoms on Earth, with many species of proteas, ericas and restios. Also unique to Table Mountain is the elusive ghost frog, a rare species endemic to the mountain. Keep an eye out for the old cable car ruins, and just beyond them you’ll find the famous diving board—a striking rock ledge that juts out and offers incredible photo opportunities for those without a fear of heights, but not recommended on windy days.

The hike up the mountain is manageable and only takes a few hours. Patrick is wonderful and very knowledgeable. I learned so much about the mountain and it’s history. He also conducts other tours, so be sure to inquire!
